Agree. Apparently, everyone is still focused on the "Birdo is male" thing from Super Mario Bros 2. Every time I hear someone say that I have to remind that the Birdo from SMB2 probably isn't the same one as the one we have in the spinoff games, mainly because SMB2 takes place in a dream. We don't have proof that the Birdo from Mario's dream is the same Birdo that we see today.

I'm about to ruin everybody's childhood. Peach is not dating anyone, not even Mario, because she is still PRINCESS Peach, meaning she hasn't found her king, which also makes sense because Mario isn't KING Mario. And you may ask, "what about the kissing, and the cakes?" Well technically, showing respect to a princess is bowing, tipping your hat, and/or taking your hat off to them. If the damsel in distress is saved, she thanks her savior by giving them a kiss on the head, nose, or cheek, which is why she does the same for Luigi. The cake is just an invitation for Mario for saving her multiple times (or it could even be Bowser trying to challenge Mario since when we show up, the princess is missing. I'm referring to Mario 64 of course) So this could mean the same for Luigi and Daisy, and Luigi just has a crush on Daisy. Mario could just have a crush on Peach. But that brings us to a new question, is Mario dating Pauline since she isn't a princess? They could be, but I think not because in Mario Odyssey, our first encounter, she immediately tries to blow us off. Our next encounters, we never actually hear of her speaking about a relationship with Mario. She brings up the question about being captured by Donkey Kong, but nothing more. So maybe they could have been dating for a short amount of time, then they broke up. Maybe they even broke up due to her jealousy of Mario and Princess Peach, it would make sense, and kinda clear everything up! But hey, that's just a theory... A GAME THEORY! Thanks for reading!
