This was planned. Union goes on strike just before Christmas, Government panics and gives the postal union everything it wants. Union goes back to work, gets plenty of overtime to clear the backlog with a raise. Didn happen and it could not have happened to a better bunch of people. I have been laid off my job in the trades. I had decided to retrieve some retirement money early so we can pay our bills to get by. The cheque was mailed and now is stuck somewhere for weeks. I dont know how long it will take to sort out after this is over. Not a very good Christmas and Im not sure what will happen with our bills
