    Thank you for explaining this technique so clearly as I love this look. I'm new to book folding so it was great when you made the mistake and showed how easy it was to fix. 😊

    When you hold the book to show what you did, you’re holding too high and can’t see what your showing.

      Do you have a combi pattern or are you creating a combi pattern from a cut and fold?

    Do your scissors have a 1 cm mark on them? How do you know that it's 1 cm?

    • @bookfolding
      @bookfolding  9 месяцев назад

      You can put a 1 cm mark on your scissors. I typically fold to whete the text begins. That's generally 1 cm

      Now, imagine if you didn't fold the cut paper to 1 cm on both sides. Maybe 1.5 on 1 cut and .5 on the other, folding a tapered cut. I believe this next level of detail is how to accomplish the next level of book folding. I see exquisite work sold for big $$$. Have you considered this?

    Why don't you cut in deeper and then the tabs won't pop out of place?

      It's personal preference and the look you want. Great question.

    Can't see what you are doing? Camera not centered.😢

    Is there such thing as a pattern that is too detailed?

    • @bookfolding
      @bookfolding  Год назад +1

      With mark and fold the answer is definitely yes. With a cut and fold there can be far more detail. If it gets to be more than 30 cuts per page, I would say it's getting too detailed.
