Build Flashlight for 18V Bosch Battery

- I have been using this type of flashlight for a year, and it is pretty easy to use. That's why I made this video to show you all.
This flashlight has 3 modes: very bright, normal light and flashing light. With this battery (20V 6Ah 120WAh), we can use 6 hours with very bright mode, 17 hours with normal light mode and 12 hours with flashing mode.

Good Job! :D I allways use the Makita 18Volt standard which is widely spreaded and you get all kind of fairly good knock off tools, adapters, chargers, Battery housings, BMS boards for good prices. This Makita 18V standard will last forever, unless all others which are constantely changing and meanwile all have chips which make it difficult or impossible to renew the 18650 cells by your self.

@@gear_show Thank YOU! : ) , I will make a similar Flaslight as you, but with a 72W three wire round LED spot, which have a yellow round ring LED and white LED's in the middle (xinled 4 inch 72w) and switch them separately with two switches. This way I have a energy save mode with nice yellow light and a bright mode with the others.

I love the video up to the point where you’re building the flashlight part you basically got a store-bought battery I would’ve re-purposed some old antique flashlight by putting some New Age parts inside it would’ve been cool to use an old brass fresh light other than that great video

у него на всех самоделках одна проблемма- нет защиты от глубокого разряда ( он убивает литиевые аккумы) у бош, макита, девалт,- защита стоит не в аккуме, а в инструменте, здесь же ее вообще нет нигде. Короче когда поймешь что аккум сел и фонарь светит тускло -будет уже поздновато.
@@mraksnajper8683 Я уверен, что его аккумуляторы всё равно будут работать гораздо лучше и дольше, чем любые дешёвые в магазинах моего города.

Note 18v Bosch batteries do not have undervoltage protection build in the battery, undervoltage is handel by the tool, building this light and running the battery to low will with 100% certainty permanently dammage the battery, even only once will leave its mark.

In Russian, "fart" from the slang (thieves') translation means "luck". But I don't think the flashlight manufacturer knows about it. 🤣
Maybe you have an idea how to resurrect the Makita battery, which has a chip that prevents the battery from being recharged after a certain number of use cycles, even though the batteries are still functional. They do this supposedly for security reasons, although everyone knows that it's really about maximizing the company's profits.

A nice flashlight just doesn't have protection against excessive battery discharge ☹
I think the battery PCB will handle about this.

Здравствуйте, работа класс, но есть одно " Но" ,это ручка слишком длинная, если вдруг нужно будет поставить фонарик в вертикальном положении, то ручка мешать будет! Её можно сделать в вровень с аккумулятором!!! Привет из Украины!!!

@@mraksnajper8683 Делал фонарь из бош аккумуляторов, 14.4в Шурик упал и разбился, а акуумы остались, да защиты от разряда нет, как и во всех остальных, и нет в самом шурике, работает до победного, фонарь светит тоже, и пока работают при чем им уже почти 10 лет, на 18в щеточном боше есть защита от разряда, на новом 12в безщеточном нет, во всех моделях по разному, есть много разного инструмента бош, а вот переходник интересен, и когда фонарь делал крепление аккумулятора взял с того же шуруповерта, с таким же было-бы намного аккуратнее.
@@user-rx4lx5kq5t уважаемый, нету защиты ни у 12 ни у 14 ни у 18. в основном у всех брендов, защита от разряда стоит в инструменте Могу фото платы своего аккума боша отправить , как раз планирую замену ячеек)
@@mraksnajper8683 У бош gsr 180li защита точно есть, ибо он не крутит на дохлом аккуме, и моргает диод, у 12v30 и 18v110 нет крутят до победного, только защита от перегрузки, я к тому что на фонаре 14в работают, возможно я их так сильно не разряжал, поэтому и живут, также есть сабельная пила тоже нет защиты, а вот у ушм и гайковерта есть,
@@user-rx4lx5kq5t прочитайте внимательно всю ветку комментов- вы подтвердили то , что было написано ранее- защита от разряда реализована в самом инструменте , в аккумуляторах ее нет, потому родной инструмент не работает от дохлых аккумов, а самоделки высаживают в ноль.
