After four or five years of discussions about a possible collaboration with Frontiers, renowned German producer, guitarist, and songwriter Sascha Paeth agreed to join forces with the Italian label and launch his new band, Masters Of Ceremony. The band's debut album is entitled "Signs Of Wings".
Sascha says, “Finally, I am putting my energy into a metal project of my own. It is the sum of my experiences over the years and a bit of a revival of what I was doing in the past.”
“Signs of Wings” is much more than a solo album. Sascha put together a great group of musicians including Felix Bohnke (Avantasia) on drums, André Neygenfind (Avantasia) on bass, Corvin Bahn on keyboards, and the awesome American singer Adrienne Cowan (Seven Spires). Offering a wide range of styles within the metal spectrum, from aggressive and straight foward metal songs, to more melodic and symphonic tracks, this record has a bit of everything and is certainly going to strike fans of Sascha's as one of the most inventive, complete, and exciting releases in the metal genre in 2019.
As a 15 year old teenager, you might have found Paeth playing a more bluesy style, or Van Halen-meets-Accept style hard rock, but it wasn’t long before Paeth joined Heaven’s Gate, where the music was harder and heavier. This experience was where he learned to enjoy inspiration from new styles and from new collaborations. It was the start of a long journey through the music business, a journey that is far from over....
To label Sascha Paeth a multi-talented producer, engineer, musician, and songwriter might not quite cover his full set of skills and achievements. The Wolfsburg-born German multi-musician has produced countless bands including Avantasia, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Epica, and more. Having worked on, produced, and engineered over 200 albums since 1988, it’s fair to say he has a reputation for being at the forefront of shaping the European melodic power metal sound.

I LIKE THIS BECAUSE IT`S DIFFERENT. It`s not more of the same old thing. The market is swarmed with same sounding bands. This is really cool because they are doing their own thing.
This is the first I'm listening to them and damn they are so good especially the lady, her voice is so beautiful and satisfying.

You should check out her band Seven Spires (recording for their fourth album is done, fingers crossed for a 2024 release), the Wacken 2022 Vikings vs Zombies show she did with Sascha, the current Sonic Symphony tour with her as the lead singer, and if you catch Avantasia live there's a good chance you'll see her on stage (when she toured with them in 2022 she did Mille's parts on Book of Shallows among other things and it was absolutely epic). And that's just some of all the awesome stuff she's been up to!
You'll struggle to find a more hard working and professional musician, or a nicer, more open and caring human. Adrienne is my undisputed hero

As a bass player, I'm trying to figure out if the stand up bass was actually used or if it was a prop. If it was real, my 5 and 6 string basses may never be played again!

The recording sounds a lot like fretted bass guitar to me, but it could be a stand up with an overdrive...
@@letthemusicdothetalkingb4438 After listening to this again, you may be right. Towards the front of the song, I picked up on a fret vibration that you can't get from a stand up. Possibly used a fretted bass with a box to switch the tone to a fretless sound.

I've probably listed to this song over 100 time b/c I bought the album. But only today do I see they made a video for this 3 years ago.
The only stuff I watch on YT when logged into this account other than some bowling and history stuff, are metal videos. Including Masters Of Ceremony and anything else Adrienne Cowan has done. And then today, out of no where YT shows this. That is apparently the algorithm at work.

Where is that sound even close to Avantasia ??? That song has a dramatic in it, that you would never find in an Avantasia song. Avantasia is a whole different thing. By that i mean both are great, but not the same. Different approach. Not to mention that Avantasia songs are so much more Keyboard driven, this is a whole different thing. And personally I dont think Tobi wouldnt fit into this song.

Might be just me ... but I don't get it, why so many "live" playing video sets don't have a budget for the guitar player getting a cable to at least pretend a bit more convincingly, he's actually playing ... ;-)
Do you know how much music videos can end up costing? It's fucking insane O_O
well, they have an upright bass and a piano which they don't actually use, and a crocodile skin finish on a fucking semi-hollow guitar in a metal song. they sure was way to busy making it look fancy to give a fuck about cables and stuff. also, look 1:55. there is intense double bass action in the music, yet drummer casually kicking it with one leg. song is good though, it would be even better if there was no video. or if it was just shots of Adrienne, she's cool :)
