Wet hike to the white waterfall הליכה רטובה למפל הלבן נחל אל על

January 13th, 2024. After a night of heavy rain in the south of the Golan Heights, we arrived at Eliad on our way to the White Waterfall in El Al stream. But the rains were so intense that all the small wadis in the area flowed in magnificent waterfalls and blocked the walking path.
We had to make a significant detour and arrive through Natur to a hiking trail that connects to El Al stream north of the White Waterfall. Then we found out that there, too, the streams of water created by the many rains accompany us along the way.
Eventually we reached El Al stream. Will we be able to reach the waterfall, or will the gushing stream block our way again...?
שלושה עשר בינואר 2024. אחרי לילה עתיר גשמים בדרום רמת הגולן, הגענו לישוב אליעד בדרכנו למפל הלבן בנחל אל על. אבל הגשמים היו כה עזים עד כי כל הוואדיות הקטנים באזור זרמו במפלים מרהיבים וחסמו את שביל ההליכה.
נאלצנו לבצע מעקף משמעותי ולהגיע דרך הישוב נטור אל מסלול הליכה המתחבר לנחל אל על מצפון למפל הלבן.
אז גילינו שגם שם פלגי המים שנוצרו מהגשמים הרבים מלווים אותנו בדרך.
המפל הלבן מכונה כך כי הוא זורם על רקע מסלע של אבן גיר לבנה. בעוד שאחיו מצפון, המפל השחור, זורם על רקע מסלע של אבן בזלת כהה.
בסופו של דבר הגענו אל המסלול לאורך אפיק נחל אל על. הזרימה גועשת ומרשימה. האם נצליח ללכת עד המפל, או שהזרימה השוטפת לא תאפשר להגיע?
