2004 and 2006 was brutal.. 2006 is the best Spurs team ever to NOT win a title.. 63 reg season wins.. That was the year and the team that had it's best shot to repeat..
Spurs fan since 95. I feel the same. It was painful. I am so happy we got the Heat back in 2014 the way we did. As the Rocket's Rudy T said in 95 after winning a second ring "Don't ever under estimate the heart of a champion." We had a 5-1 finals run in 15 years, I am so happy for that. Would love Timmy D to be 6-0 though.
@@kylemandt527 Indeed, I was convinced that if we won that series Timmy will retire that year but ultimately we got it back the next year and that proves to be sweetest comeback story of all time!
I support Spurs since 2005 ,first ever game watched on tv was Spurs game ,since that day I support them even I have to stay all night awake and wait for game coz im from Bosnia 🇧🇦 and nba games are always at 3 or 4 oclock after mindnight .Wish you all the best Spurs with Wemby and new 4 yeae deal with Popović .Hope one day I will watch you live in USA 🇧🇦💙
Game 6 is still stiched into my mind. I was about to put "2013 NBA champions San Antonio Spurs" on my status on Facebook. Then, it happened. Me: *"What just happened!?"* My chest hurts still
For some reason this one was deleted a day after it was released, now it’s re-uploaded here. Maybe they accidentally released it too early the first time?
Tough episode to watch, but like David said in this one, you don't learn to win without taking some of these lumps. Fisher's .4 always stood out to me as the worst, and I never thought something as bad as that play would ever come close to it. That is until 2013 happened, with Allen's 3. Ugh, gonna be tough to watch that episode (as mentioned "to be continued" in the end of this episode).
I still remember vividly the .4 shot… It was a Thursday night, I see timmy hit the shot… I put the blanket over my head the entire time between that shot getting hit and the in bound play to fisher. I take the blanket off and BAM! he hits the shot.. I go to bed that night knowing we were gonna lose the next game. Damn, I hated the lakers back then… hard to believe next year will be 20 years.
So heartbreaks have been on San Antonio Spurs' history shortly after joining from the ABA. In Iceman era, there's two (1978, 1979). In Admiral, two (1990, 1995). In Timmy, three (2004, 2006, 2013). Wow, so there's at least five (5) missed/who knows Title opportunities (I exempted 1978 and 1990). In an ideal and fantasy NBA, the Spurs are 10-time Champions. Well, that's why I love the Spurs. They epitomize what real life is: How to bounce back from heartbreaks and forgettable upsets. And no matter how painful it might be, they are not defined by them.
The genuine heartbreak didn't catch up to me until the .4 second shot was mentioned, I was waving diy spurs wands and running around in the living room as a kid and the next day at school we were all bummed out. So glad we won the next year 🤲🏽🌟✨
Wish they talked about both the 2015 and 2016 playoff exits. Specifically 2016, because that was the absolute BEST Spurs team ever assembled and the stats and record backed that up.
I had it worse (or better) as I had to listen to it on the radio I remember listening to ESPN radio and Hubie Brown calling the game and that ruined my night... I was working a night shift boy was I irritable after that.
To this day, I lower my head, mute the volume, or change the channel when the 2013 NBA Finals Game 6 Ray Allen shot is shown. This whole episode was just too painful to watch. 😭…GSG!!!
This is sooooo GOOD!!! Wow, never really hit me how much of a Spurs geek I am until now😂😂😂 I literally remember every single one of these seasons. 🙈❤️🏀

Still hurts me to the core that 2013 game 6 heart break.😢

I remember being extremely sad for a couple of days. I can't imagine how they felt.
I always look away whenever they show the ray allen 3. It still hurts idk why 😭

2013 was very painful but we got our revenge a year later. Love this team. Fan from the UK 🇬🇧 Go Spurs Go 🏀🖤🤍

Just our Spurs would take proud of our own low moments. Go Spurs!!! Lets go for a new era and future championships!
I think somebody messed up. This was supposed to be part two, instead they re-uploaded part 1….??
For some reason this one was deleted a day after it was released, now it’s re-uploaded here. Maybe they accidentally released it too early the first time?
I think they had to edit the part about 1979 and clarify that the power outage actually happened in 1978

Seems like the episode could be called "how Manu lost the chips"....
Im totally fucking kidding. Love you Manu, love the spurs.
Tha heartbreak was not all about the recent ones, how could you name it like that?

This one was super emotional for me. Thank you for ruining my day. 😢 lol
Reupload?
Yup
Exactly!!! Have been looking for it for a while after thr first upload
I remember the Dallas and Lakers series/games like it was yesterday! haha Nice episode
Why reupload?
I still remember flipping out over Manu fouling Dirk there in game 7.
This video is going to give me some PTSD!
Mike Breens play by play on that Ray Allen 3 to tie in game 6 in 2013 still haunts me in my dreams
I had it worse (or better) as I had to listen to it on the radio I remember listening to ESPN radio and Hubie Brown calling the game and that ruined my night... I was working a night shift boy was I irritable after that.
Wasn’t this uploaded already?..
No way Fischer got that shot off in time
Yeah just watching it it's less than half a second and gets a fade away turn around fade away off? There's no way
Why did you take this video down last week?

2013😢
upload part 2
Can I garner up the courage to watch the next one? We'll see.
"Rebound Bosh! Back out to Allen! His three-pointer... BAAAANG"!!! If your heart didn't flinch reading this, you're not a true Spurs fan...
Nah, it stopped hurting after the revenge tour in 2014
@@thelinedrive Came here to say that. Bad as 2013 was, I wouldn't change one GD thing because of what happened the following year.
Only here to comment won't be watching the video. I don't wanna be heartbroken again spurs sorry 😞
Good move
Seeing Ray Allen...ad a Spurs fan...still painful. Turning '95, I just thi k Dream was just better than the Admiral.
This is sooooo GOOD!!! Wow, never really hit me how much of a Spurs geek I am until now😂😂😂 I literally remember every single one of these seasons. 🙈❤️🏀
The game Shoulda went straight to the nxt Quater..Or Finished, Full Stop.
