I was on the hunt for this one! Several stores sold out but I finally caught it in Neiman Marcus. I smelled it and walked out with the Harmonists Hypnotic Fire! Ebene imo is over hyped. It’s good but thats it, good.
My experience with this fragrance is completely opposite. Regarding the TF brand, I typically will wear both Oud Wood and Fougere D’Argent regularly.
I went into a local department store to pick up a bottle of TF Neroli Portofino Forte. While there, the sales person sprayed Ebene Fume onto a card for me to sample. I thought it opened loud. But, as the dry down occurred, it blossomed into an interesting scent. I tossed the sample card into the bag and all I could smell on the way home was this scent. After placing the sample onto the kitchen island, I found myself routinely returning to it for a whiff. I drove back to the store the next day and grabbed a bottle. I’m glad I did. I would say it’s a fall and winter cooler temperature fragrance and like many various products, one has to control the sprays for the environment where you plan to wear it. For example, for me, it’s the cockpit. That said, it’s easily a date fragrance or office scent as long as it’s not applied to be overly ‘loud’. For me, this offering is two thumbs up, and a pleasant surprise.
u could just layer with other TF private blend fragrance to fill out what you think is missing out in this fragrance, that is the whole idea of the private blend line, to blend your very own private smell.

Good review. I agree completely! Overall, it’s a odd fragrance but in small doses I think it’s ok in the winter months. To be honest, I bought it to use as an air freshener in my SUV and it’s lasted me over a year. I do not plan on buying it again. Nothing spectacular in my opinion.

Been wearing this for a week now from a generous sample that the SA from Nordstrom's gave me and I was kind of confused. This is the first TF fragrance I've smelled that doesn't have that signature TF DNA similar to how other brands have their signature DNA (e.g. BN9, Creed, BK, etc.). In the beginning, it starts off a bit powdery for my liking and you start to get whiffs of TF Tobacco Oud. It dries down to this Turkish Tea that is mainly filled with cloves and cardamom. This smells similar or at least in the same vein of MFK's Absolue Pour le Soir in which I am not a fan of. The fragrance is not bad, but nor spectacular either. It's a pass for me. Still waiting for them to release a Lost Cherry + TO or TV fusion. They could do so many things with Lost Cherry.

If you wear this you will DEFINITELY be noticed. Ppl will be saying “that automechanic got on some strong cologne”. I say that cause (to me) its got such strong leather and a dirty gear oil (machine shop) smell. Got it on a scent strip last night and this morning it still smells BOLD. Smells better (softer) than last night but….it’s not for me. Wait….. it smells kinda like I remember my Grandfather smelling (when I was a real little kid 1970’s). My Grandfather painted cars and smelled like chemicals and “NOW” cigarettes.
