Our Cockatiels P-chan & Pebble Feeding Their Baby - 3 days old

- Our pet cockatiel P-chan has laid a total of 13 eggs between July 27th and August 30th. The first 6 eggs were white and small in size while the last 7 were big and pinkish in color. None of the small eggs hatched while one of the big eggs was being stumbled on and damaged one night when the parents got scared of something in the middle of the night.
Chick #1 was hatched on Sept 10th chirping all day but was found being left in a corner of the nestling box and chilled out to death the day after on Sept 11th.
This video was taken today when the parents were feeding Chick #2 that was hatched on Sept 12th at around 2 am. We have a heater turned on 24/7 right next to the nesting box now. This baby has been well cared for by the parents who work non stop looking after their baby. They've done an amazing job so far. We are very proud of them and anxiously waiting for the other eggs to hatch any time soon.

I just really think it's amazing though human domesticate almost every type of animal. Their natural instinct continues to flourish despite human interface. This is a very beautiful video of how parents work together. 😍

Awe! They're giving each other kisses! I think that cockatiels are the most loving couples. The daddy seems very protective. I used to own 2 cockatiels and when they were together they'd constantly clean each other, give kisses, and feed each other.

So much love and care goes into raising a baby chick by its dear beautiful parents.then breeders go on and sell them in pet shops to people who don't have any idea about keeping birds.seems this owner is taking great care though.
Watching them flirt and interact with each other is amazing. Congratulations on having such an amazing little family in your home!

This has to be one of the most amazing things in the world. Seeing a baby being birthed seeing a baby bird being hatched and seeing your kittens being born. I don't know what it is about babies. They are so cute.

my family raised cockatiels before. they are the frecking ugliest damn baby birds ever but they grow up to be beautiful lol it's funny most animals grow out of cuteness and these birds grow into it

Cool video! In the future maybe record much further away with zoom. They were obviously stressed since they were hissing. Other than that, very interesting and so sweet. When my cockatiel gets out of control, being super noisy, I put a fake egg in his cage. It keeps him occupied for hours. Thanks for sharing.

My birds names were whitey & Mrs Green, I was devastated when a kid hit whitey out the window. Two days later Mrs Green laid 7 eggs.There are five left and I'm hoping and praying I will be a grand cockatiel parent soon.

well, reminds me a bit of my own Cockatiel, it went to be 17½ years old... good girl... the morning she died i was with her, she died in my hands as i were kissing her gently... she relaxed and... suddenly went limp... i din't do anything but cry and curse at the world the few days after
I've heard them described as "nature's clowns" because of their faces and their personalities. My family had one for 10 years that died at home and one that had to be put down because of poor care from the petstore where we got it. THAT one used to steal dry cereal out of my breakfast bowl every day!

My cockatiels were fighting when I first introduced them together. They still bicker a bit at night before they're about to go to sleep, but otherwise, they learned to get along and they like each other. They preen each other and rub their heads against each other. Give them a few days, it would be very surprising if the fights became violent.
I know little about these fabulous birds other than I always thought they were cute and sweet natured and intelligent but there is so much love shown there in that little family that I am now more intrigued by them and deeply touched
That hissing was like them saying,"I will CUT you if you come anywhere even CLOSE to my baby." It was very touching to see both parents feeding the chick and nuzzling him/her and each other.
lol I saw that too Jessica estephany. it was so cute I could not stop tearing up 'cuteness overload :-) my cockatiel watched with great Interest. she is only 1 year and 6 months old.

as i watched the video, i realized more and more how the white bird looked like trump.
I was given a female cockatiel that laid eggs so bought a male. Over several years they hatched 17 babies. I still have the last 2 at over 15 years age. Hope all turned out well for you!

I love cockatiels! they are the best companion birds there are. I just lost my little girl gleeper dec 29th. It was the worst new year of my life. I don`t know if you raise these birds for sale or if they are your babies...just love them like they are your family, they will return your love 10fold
