I think its like most of them not like smoke. I think suichan already said if not mistaken like some manager did smoke right? Or am i wrong. Its personal decision. Some people ok and some not. If i saw someone smoke better they smoke at least not reaching near where i gonna like choose and pick food. Compare to people smoke, usually people who inhale are much danger right? Its same like when filling the gas. In the past i love the smell but being told by my friend not to smell it because it affect my body when i aged older.
So are we need to give Cover idea to create "No Smoking" campaign as a public ads ?

While I don't personally smoke, I know what the effects of nicotine are. How would you describe it and would you say if there is any real equal or substitute for it? I just find it interesting is all, the super-focused kind of feeling I've heard it gives.
@@Andras0 Vaping is a good substitute but you end up doing it far more often because theres less nicotine. I've always found that when I needed to focus, I didn't go to cigarettes. I used them more in a social setting or for de-stressing. If I need to work for 24 hours straight, it's always been Red Bull or coffee. Everyone is different though. Take it from someone who worked in a massive company, the people who REALLY needed to focus weren't drinking red bull or smoking cigarettes, they were just doing coke.

@@Andras0 Smoking is very good at getting you agitated because you're not smoking at the moment, thus you crave the next cig. What some call the calming or concentration effect of cigarettes is a false correlation. One's you're a smoker, the cigarettes do not calm you, they put you in normal mode for a couple of minutes before you start to get agitated again. There is no benefit to nicotine, you will only notice something slightly in the first couple of weeks and after dead it's your brain trying to reach the standard level of mood you had before you started to smoke. This trick in perception makes it extremely difficult to quit plus the ritual aspect of it, and social aspect of it.
I don't know who told you Nicotine gives you "super-focus" but that's the biggest horshit I have heard in my entire life, whoever told you that or believes in that or whatever website spoke of it is a waste of energy to be paid attention to.
If you want concentration, you take adderall or amphetamine-related medication and not start smoking, but unless you want a live hooked on meds just take proper care of your body by eating proper meals, sleeping enough and regularly, working out and stretching, socializing regularly, studying regularly to keep brain muscles from disintegrating over time, proper mental image/philosophy, engage in collective and relational thinking and spice interests up now and then to get variety to make things interesting in day to day life..

My stance is generally the same as Luna's, but instead of finding the smell simply bad I find I tend to have the desire to cease breathing when I detect the smell of cigarettes in my vicinity and to move away as fast as politely possible.

@@Gatitasecsii I do it politely since you can sometimes smell it from quite a ways away and in a place like a parking lot it's hard to know what direction is the right way to get away, so better not to look too crazy while trying to escape though I agree I do not respect those who fall to the "allure" of death sticks like that.
I was on a public bus once, an someone started smoking on it! I have asthma, so without a second thought pulled out my inhaler, used it, then pulled out my 3M respirator (I go to a technical school) and put it on. The guy stopped immediately.

A Super announced having quit smoking for many months (maybe even a year, don't remember) and Towa responded very energetically and vocal about her hate for cigarettes.
I think none of them smokes, at least not regularly, due to they are idols, but not in a "perfect human being/goddess" image. They have to sing and dance at the same time, so they need to have a good lungs to performance.
Not only that, smoking is extremely destructive on one's voice. So it would be detrimental to their singing capabilities
I mean they have plenty of bad habits to be addicted to like gambling, gacha, overworking, drinking etc to choose from. Why do the bad habit that has a direct effect on their livelihood, i.e lungs and throat?

@@iceloveanime Cigars are very strong, you're not supposed to inhale the smoke, instead you just keep it in your mouth and let it go almost immediately. They're far less addictive than cigarettes since the nicotine never really gets into your system.

I just realised that it's so uncommon to smoke here in my country that I've forgotten how cigarettes smelled like. It became extremely pathetic to smoke, like 10ish years ago, and all the laws that restricted them to smoke places, also the government made it 15x more expensive too. Everyone seems to have quit. I mean, who wants to use a ton of money on something that doesn't get you high, makes you smell like wet dog shit, and destroys your heath? Fucking ridiculously stupid to smoke.

Towa HATES smokers or anything related to it with pasion , i think it is because she has a huge complex about her voice as we all know , not to dunk on her or anything but she does sounds weirdly like someone who smokes a lot (raspy voice) , so i imagine she got asked or told about it a lot and got annoyed about it , add that she has been teased and bullied for her voice and is understandable that she gets angry that people think that her normal voice is due to smoking or something else and not just her default , i think towa , susei , azki , sora and maybe polka have talked on occasion about how much they take care of their voices and routines about it , so that could be another reason

I don't smoke and I have nothing against those who do. Some of them are respectful and mindful of where they are smoking, and I respect them for that. But some other are just.. not quite.

It being able to happen in the first place is simply just the consequence of the fact that we're evolving too rapidly on a civilazional level for natural selection to keep up
Overall, getting a dopamine release from cigarettes is completely normal as in _producing the expected outcome,_ and totally normal as in _following a social norm_
It is certainly not an excuse to give into smoking, just like enjoying food isnt an excuse to obesity, but objectively speaking it isnt deviant at all to enjoy cigarettes

It is hard to quit if you don't really want to quit,i know some people that make an excuse that said They can't focus or "work hard" if they don't smoke,I mean I'm not a smoker so idk.
I quit smoking and it's really less difficult than you think. It's difficult because you believe it is. Your mind will tell you that it's too hard and you should just give in. You have to change your mindset to believe it's easy and you can do it.
Convince yourself you're a non-smoker, and tell yourself you don't need it. People don't have as much willpower as they think, so if you're in a situation where you're craving it, remove that temptation immediately. Do something else. Get your mind off it.
Eventually, the cravings will fade and you'll forget about it.

As a heavy smoker myself, I'm sorry I won't quit just because my oshis dislike such thing. It's my own choice to smoke, but I also respect their opinion. The very least I do for my friends who dislikes cigarette's smell is just not smoking at all prior meeting them, when meeting them, and I'll smoke after I finish meeting them and already back to my home or in some public smoking room. (Not gonna tell if I will meet my oshis in person because it's plain impossible unless you work in the same company as them or you already know them prior their debut as a VTuber.)
Anyway, for those who just want to try smoking, don't. Just don't. It's highly addictive.

There’s a lot of reasons not to smoke but because I’m entertained by a woman on the internet who has an anime girl avatar and realistically couldn’t/wouldn’t say she smoked even if she did sure isn’t one of them. Especially with people who think cali smoking cigars a few times a year is in any way better health wise than saying she smokes cigarettes once in a while. Do you really think any of them would say they smoked? I hope someone makes a video like this where they all say they’re all virgins who haven’t spoken to a man since they’ve joined hololive. Stay away from others who dont smoke (espacialy kids, infants, pregnant women) dont just throw your Ciggbutts on the ground or outa the car etc. portable ashtrays are a thing. if there is a designated Smoking zone go there its just a short walk cmon and as a last to the vapers, just cause it aint burning tobacco that does not mean you can smoke(Vape) anywhere. just mind others around you
