Gotta say, I did not expect this level of visual fidelity. This was incredible. They nailed the lighting. The only thing that sticks out is the low poly count of the geometry and sometimes the trees in the city.

I played my first video game when it was two blocks bouncing a ball back and forth. Grew up in the 80's arcades when Galaga ruled. Saw the NES launch with SMB. Used 3.5 floppies to install the first FPS, Wolfenstein. Played my first true 3d game with Quake. I even graduated from college with a degree in gaming before gaming degrees even existed. I've seen a lot. I'm truly blown away by how far we've come. Watching GTA, RDR, R*, the mod community evolve and create such amazing works of art over the decades has been a true pleasure. Can't wait for 6.
Same here (except the gaming degree). Even without these upgrades, just the base games coming out are mind blowing with the level of visual detail. RDR2 is one of those games I can jump into any time and be in awe of the graphics.

GTA will never look like this, ever. It’s just not their style, it’s not that they’re incapable of implementing this style of graphics. On some level, too much photorealism takes the soul out of a game.

I'll be 100% honest that this is the best graphic mod I've ever seen. No wet roads, no exagerrated reflections on the vehicles, the textures and the lightings are visually realistic and it's awesome!
I think it looks good but one thing that stands out is every car looks like they just came off the showroom floor. Every car is nice and shiny.

Watching this in 1994 and I can tell you that we are never going to reach such a realistic level in games like this footage of LA.
I doubt we ever will though someone told me that, one day, computers powerful enough to run Windows 95 will fit in your hand so who knows, maybe in the distant future...

Man that is inSANE!! This mod looks incredible. The omly strange thing is it looks like a overcast day. How well can the mod handle weather effects, like rain or sunsets or very sunny days? I can only imagine what youll be able to do with GTA 6!

This is one of the best graphic mods I've seen so far, but I missed some sunny scenes.
That Beretta sounded like it was constantly in the wrong gear. I always find it amusing how R* made perfect gaps wherever you go to get around traffic. There's hardly ever a jam or blockage, and all the cars drive just far enough apart to zig-zag by them.
I had to turn it off because of that damn car sounding awful. Both cars sounded like someone who can’t drive for shit tbh.

Cars are too glossy, but wow! This may actually be the most realistic lighting and colors ive seen in any game.
Sometimes it seems to me devs make the cars too glossy just to show off the reflections. It looks impressive but not really 100% realistic.

This looks amazing, it’s just a shame the PC version doesn’t have raytraced reflections like the console versions (in fidelity mode). The cubemap reflections are the one thing holding these mods back. That said this is jaw droppingly beautiful no less.
True, but you can use infinite mods, inclusive the best reshades, paid, with ray-tracing pushing all the limits.

@@gabriel-bl4ckh4wk-6 No mod ads ray tracing even though they claim otherwise. Real ray tracing compared to faked is, ironically, a night and day difference. Like shown in this video, mods can achieve some interesting things but as the OP said, GTA V on PC is held back by the lack of real ray tracing. You can also see in this video that even with a 4090 with all these mods you get less than optimal frame rate.
So this ain't it chief.
The raytraced reflections on PS5/Series X consoles look incredible especially at night. It's also proof that raytraced effects can indeed work on consoles even tho there are obviously restrictions in terms of resolution/complexity and not every object is raytraced. It still looks impressive to see yourself in a mirror or a window when walking by...

Not trying to hate on this, this is really amazing work, I just started up playing GTA again and of course I went straight to the campaign to get used to it again and just to sit back and enjoy a little bit of gaming, but to everyone who made it this far in my comment, it’s not free to get how he has this, some is but some isn’t, but will say it’s 2024 and I came across one that is just a slight different then this one but all the presets is free and makes ur game come out damn near like his.

It's literally just good visuals for one thing being exchanged for another lol. Make the cars look better but then also make the roads and trees look like shit. Nothing but compromises here. Better to play the game normally or with a graphics overhaul with actual gameplay in mind.

@@Avi0097 ask Rockstar, idk why they went for an unrealistic artstyle. see, photorealism isn't just about high polycount, Half Life 2 still looks more photorealistic than many modern games, and so do other old games. They could definitely make the game more photorealistic without compromising performance.

those bracelets are insanely gigantic lol. spectacular graphics though. could use some more dirt accumulation on the vehicles, streets and like more leaves dust and stuff on the streets and weathering on buildings. Also a bit excessive blurring in motion changes. Nevertheless, impressive. watching on 240p or less actually makes it look like it's a real video made on a phone camera from like 2008.

As a kid I always wondered when videogames would look as realistic as reality. I think 13 years is a reasonable timeframe.

I just started playing again and I looked up each mod you have listed but non of them by themselves looks as realistic as you have it. I'm not sure which mods you might have combined. You have a lot listed, are you using every single one? To what level are you using them? I would love to see a video of how and what you've used to achieve this look. Absolutely amazing man!
Impressive. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that what we need to achieve greater realism in the next generations is to improve the reflections of objects, ambient lighting and shadows. In terms of texture and visual effects, we have already reached a good level of realism.

I would change the sound mods for that Beretta in a heartbeat.
Needs better antialiasing and seemingly anisotropic filtering (and/or better textures or something. Possibly some sort of texture map tech). But aside from those noticeable issue it looks really great. Quite amazing particularly for such an old game.
