That is why I love my cup holders on my limited. My wife and I will stop and drink at the stop then take one with us. When those are gone we stop again. Top off fuel and drinks. It takes effort to make sure you do get dehydrated. Haven't been out west yet it's on our bucket list.
Oh my! I would have been a heat casualty. You are tough lady. I've been stuck riding in that desert heat before, not fun. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing your adventure 😊
Great vid from an epic adventure! I really like how natural your vids are, it is soooo great that you were able to do all this! What was your experience with Eagle Rider, did you like it? My 19 Heritage does the exact same thing for N, I have to jam my foot forward more so when I pivot up, the distance my foot moves the shifter is less so I am able to find neutral, otherwise, I can spend hours just kicking up.
Where were you when I was out there riding? I should have tried that tip. I was sooo frustrated. I had the friend I was riding with in an upcoming video try. And she got it on the second go. I felt like an idiot. Lol
In that temp, Whit you should be wearing mesh jacket and not leather. I don't see how you do that. Stay safe. I enjoy your adventures, thanks for sharing.
I NEED to invest in one now after my summer ride down there. Yikes! Up here in Wisconsin I don’t mind my leather jacket even in the hottest part of the summer. But once it got over 100, it was not comfortable.
An adventure before you even start riding. Beautiful rock formations. Never been to Zion but sounds like August is swamp ass month ha ha. Thanks for taking us along. Great vid! 👊🤙
I think because of covid most of the spots are closed down, because I saw one at Las Vegas harley too. But the only one operating right now was the one south of the strip.
Hello thanks for the video! i would like to visit Zion and grand canyon riding a motorcycle in mid July, is it a good time to do it? or is it extremely hot to the point is not recommended? thanks for the content!
Looks like it was an awesome ride even in the heat. I do miss the desert, would love to be back over there again. Was over there in August last year, and yes it's damn hot...!
@@whitmeza yeah definitely I just realized this was back when it was super hot out. I wamt to make a trip out east to ride. The scenery is so different that even boring road would feel crazy.
I cannot tell for sure what you have on your legs. But years ago I found out that my leather chaps do a pretty good job of keeping the engine heat off of my legs in those kind of conditions. In my case it was riding through Nevada. Like any advice, this is only worth what you paid for it.
@@whitmeza You know, I have ridden about 150,000 miles in the last 25 years and have watched a lot of bike videos. Nothing phony or pretentious about you. Count me a subscriber, ride on little sister.
Do you need to return your bike to the place you rented it from? I want to ride along the west coast. From Spokane Washington all the way down to the southern tip of California. It would be a pain to have to return the bike all the way back north. Lol you talk just like my friend from Wisconsin I was in the military with. You guys say Wisconsin exactly the same by switching the o for an a Haha. It's funny, Wisconsin loves the a sound while you're Minnesota neighbors love their o's. I know you're going to do more Iron butt challenges, but I've heard that there's one where you do it in cold temperatures. You think you'll do one of those as well? Us Texans are so adverse to the cold. If it snows at all, we cancel everything Haha. You have inspired to at least do some iron butt challenges. You also make HD gear cool. Have you looked into Skull Riderz? I bought their mesh jacket, but they look cool. It's breathable, but with durable fabric and protective pads. I think they're worth the money. They're not dorky like some other mesh jackets I've seen. The shoulder pads make it look a bit like a woman's power suit. There are women's versions that should fit you guys better. I think that might be a better option in the heat than a leather jacket.
I’ll have to look into those! Thanks for the recommendation. No you do not have to bring it back to the same location. You can choose any other eagle rider rental location that’s open actually. I think you just have to plug that in when you make the actual reservation.
Why are you wearing a jacket and gloves in that heat? Well it's a good thing you didn't get to the Canyon. You do know I'm only about 2.5 hours from there right? I'd have been annoyed if you went there and didn't try to meet. Well maybe not annoyed but disappointed. Zion is a gorgeous place. Ride safe Whit. Can you still ride in Wisconsin now?
Awe dang! I had no idea but I’ll be back down there again real soon. Riding with Eagle Rider I had to be in full gear and I haven’t invested in anything for that warm desert temps. Lesson learned.
@@whitmeza I rented from them once. I just rode a couple blocks away where my wife pulled over and put that crap in the the truck, and went on my ride. Oh and I'm sure Jackie (Jackies moto garage) would want to meet up too. She, Jon and the kids met me last March here in Prescott. I just met up with Robin the Lady Biker last week in Seligman, AZ.
Welp thanks for watching anyways. It was over 113 degrees and I had to be in full riding gear, leather...the only gear currently I own. Would most riders just give up for the day? Probably but I DID ride and I DID enjoy it despite pushing myself to heat exhaustion.
Beautiful ride Whit. Those big rogs above you look a little intimidating. Brave girl.
Thank you!
That is beautiful! Definitely someplace I will visit when the restoration of my old heritage is finished
Oooo absolutely!!! I would advise another time than mid august but anytime is good ;)
Gorgeous views. I'm thinking about doing this in spring...
You won’t regret it.
oh I can't wait to do Zion, looks so cool! On my list for next year!
It’s a good one that’s for sure
Well look at you just traveling everywhere this year. Amazing and very awesome.
Trying too. Lots more to see :)
Incredible views! Wow! Thanks for sharing it with us!!!
Thanks for tuning in!

That's a good gauge of stopping and not becoming more dehydrated. Thank you for watching.
A heel toe shifter makes it easier to find neutral. Sometimes the reason for getting into neutral is a need to adjust the the clutch or clutch line.
We have one on the fat boy and I struggle using the shifter with it. I’d be so frustrated if it’s my personal bike. I’m glad it was a rental that day.
Amazing!! Thank you for the ride along!!
Thanks for watching!

Zion and Southern Utah parks and Canyons in my top 5 of motorcycle Rides we have done
I can’t wait to go back!!
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I sure wish I could be there too!!

Just rented a road glide from LV. What a great bike. I rented the heritage ST last year and it wore me out. Did the Valley of Fire. Amazing ride.
oooo that's on my list to ride!!

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend or id find better riding clothing that would work. I only had my leather jacket.
That is on my bucket list and thanks for the ride along and video
It’s a great one to have on the list!!
Awesome video. Thanks for the heads up about Vegas.
I think because of covid most of the spots are closed down, because I saw one at Las Vegas harley too. But the only one operating right now was the one south of the strip.
I come over from the recommendation of As the Magpie Flies.
Enjoying videos so far.
Thank you so much for watching. She’s an incredible lady!
But its a dry heat Whit! Always hard to get neutral on my Electra Glide as well. Enjoying being with you are this ride!
Ha ha that it was! Thank you for tuning in.
Woow cool ride . Just remember its dry heat
Right?!

It may be a bit hot but it’s doable. This was back in middle of august.
@@whitmeza thanks for replying
Nice ride cant wait to go visit Zion 😊 its hot there for sure spent time out west lots of brown rocks there but nice to visit

Yes that’s when I rode out there too. August is hot down there.
I do apologize for my city's airport. I avoid that place as much as possible. We could have ridden together if I knew you were passing through lol
No worries. It was so hard to even get connected to get a ride. I need to understand the transit system better. Next time!

Good to know.
Beautiful ride!!
Thanks for watching lady!

Love the views. You should buy the streetglide!!!
We will eventually have one in the garage. I rented one out in the Smoky Mountains, it’s on my channel as well.
