I picked up a box of 10 of these in cuba. Flew home yesterday and saving them for special occasions. They have 2.5 years age on them already so looking forward to doing something worthy of celebration and lighting one up 😍
HEY DUNCAN HOPE YOU GOT OVER YOUR COLD FROM THE NEW YEAR! THAT PARTAGAS IS A MONSTER OF A SMOKE. CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THAT BRAND! I LIKE YOUR PAIRING IT WITH THE ESPRESSO! AS ALWAYS GREAT REVIEW!
Hi Dunc, Sounds like a fantastic cigar. But, wow, that's a big one! Thanks for the tip on having a glass of water, to cleanse the palette. I'll try that with the pipe, as well. Sometimes I do have difficulty picking up the flavors that are reported. Hope all is well. Take Care. Ed
You always know you had a good cigar when you where sitting up straight at the beginning and by the end you've sunken into your chair. Luis's are one of my favorites so I'm on deck to try these out soon.
Only Cuban Salomones I've smoked were the Cuaba. I tend to like Partagas, so I'm guessing I'd like these. The old original tobacco blend Tatuaje 184 was a wonderful cigar. I don't even know if they are still made, and if they are, how they taste. Green tea is also a pretty good palate cleanser. I tried it, and liked it, after reading that is what the Cuban Factory Tasters sip. The spice is typically a fresher cigar. To retain more of it, as they age, you have to know how to age cigars at a higher humidity, which is risky for newer hobbyists to do. Did you know how old it was?
You know, one thing I've noticed about 2015/16 cigars is that they taste a bit different. Several of my friends have said the same thing. It's as if they are possibly using tobacco that has been aged a bit more. Have you noticed anything different?
+DannoCrutch I think that could be true as they don't seem to have that sick period as much. However I had a ERDM CS that wasn't very tasty and that was pretty new.

+GrandpaCavendish Thanks for watching Ed, works well with pipes as well. I also like peppermint tea with my pipe, has a similar effect.

Never thought about a glass of water. I do have coffee with my morning cigar, will try a glass of water tomorrow evening.
I like to refresh my pallet. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the info. This was a 2015 cigar so could do with a bit more age. Thanks for watching.

Is it my monitor or is Dunc becoming slightly greener as the video progresses?
+Bernie R it is a big old smoke but non Cubans tend to make me feel sick compared to cc
similar in taste to Cuaba Salomones or not ..???
Eagle Eye I'd say much more complex with the depth of Partagas
