    Congratulations on your new Himalayan. I bought mine in January, the Pine Green model, and have slowly been adding miles despite the cold winter that persists here in Pennsylvania.
    I came close to choosing the Granite Black model but decided on the green one because it was so unique. I look forward to seeing more videos from you. Have fun!

    Hey man wassup how you doing hope? you’re doing absolutely fine, listen I actually need your help I know you don’t do this but I really need an expert advice , So I’m a college student and I’m buying my first bike I test drive Himalayan and fell I love instantly the comfort bike provides the suspension absorbs any small potholes and the engine felt so good like it felt like the bike for made for me but the problem is I’m 5.4 and despite my height I felt pretty confident but the looks too big for me but that don’t matter
    Second thing, as I’m a college student I need bike for daily commuting and for coffee runs and stuff and as you know in cities like mumbai driving bike in that stop and go traffic i don’t think so the Himalayan is made for that. So what do you think I should do should I buy Himalayan or go with a normal sports bike like duke or husqvarna for daily commuting?

    • @AshTrails
      @AshTrails  2 года назад

      Hey budd, firstly thanks for watching. Indeed this bike is great, specially in comfort. You can wear high heel shoes/boots which will help you ride with confidence. The bike is on heavy side as u know. Secondly this bike is not made for everyday city rides in traffic. You can ride it in city anyways but I will not recommend because the engine heats up a lot in bumper to bumper traffic. It will feel like the engine is giving up. Riding this bike in city everyday will harm the engine. This bike/engine is made for open roads, the engine will feel much more relaxed and minimal heat. I will be using my bike for touring only. For everyday city rides like u said, u can look for any other bike. Also just to let u know, the clutch of Himalayan is on heavier side, u will have lot of pain using clutch in traffic..

    Bro last week i got my himalayan… bike is very good only problem is seat and wind buffeting?
    Any solution for it?

    • @AshTrails
      @AshTrails  2 года назад

      Firstly congratulations and all the best for your future rides. Yes, seats are not good for long tours, its good for city rides but after 80+ kms of ride, it starts giving issues. Solution would be to get touring seats for Himalayan from RE or have a seat cover on it. For wind buffeting you can install windshield extender, it can decrease wind buffeting to some extent.

Himalayan on the other hand is one of the best comfortable bike, plus it is an off-road capable machine. It completely depends on your riding needs. If you want performance bike gt 650 is the one. • @AshTrails

      Yes, it is comfortable to sit for ladies, rear suspension is really good and soaks bumps easily. Seat is soft so pillion can sit comfortably for short rides (under 100 km). Post 100 km you’ll feel a little discomfort due to soft seat. Solution is to have touring seats if you go on long rides with pillion. Thanks for watching!

    Congratulations on Himalayan.
    I am also considering to move from my apache 200. I am confused between RE himalyan, yezdi adventure and Honda CB350rs .. yes honda isn't in same class 😄.
    But I am concerned about the RE himalayan's build quality.. I saw too many chassis break videos lately. Not sure if they have improved in BS6.
    Did you got chance to verify that?

    • @AshTrails
      @AshTrails  2 года назад +2

      Thanks Deepanshu! Yes, I saw Himalayan chassis issues too and that concerned me before buying Himalayan. However those issues were on BS3/BS4. The built quality of Himalayan has improved on BS6 from what I can see on the bike. Extra welds in many places of the chassis and it’s clearly visible. Looks and feels sturdy.
      I personally don’t like yezdi adventure, the copied the design from Himalayan, they could’ve designed it better, set apart from Himalayan. Secondly yezdi’s service network is not wide as RE. Thirdly Himalayan has proved its capabilities over years, nd BS6 is much improved than its predecessors, Yezdi on the other hand is new in market and yet to prove its strengths.
      I am not judging any bike, all bikes are good in their own way and it depends on the biker too how well he maintains nd understands his bike but I feel Himalayan has an edge over yezdi’s adventure.
      No comments about Honda CB350RS, have not ridden it 🙂. Thanks for watching!

    • @dipanshu4807
      @dipanshu4807 2 года назад +1

      @@AshTrails yes I totally agree with yezdi's limited presence right now, it's concerning. How much would you rate Himalayan for city traffic, i suppose you are from banglore, so better place to get traffic experience of bike. 😄
      In case of yezdi, i have heard that it's not performing good in traffic due to almost zero low end torque and engine heating issue in traffic but on open highway it can fly due to extra bhp it holds.

    • @AshTrails
      @AshTrails  2 года назад +1

      @@dipanshu4807 I will not recommend using Himalayan in city every day, it’s not a daily commute kind of bike, in heavy traffic engine heats and one can feel the heat in legs. Clutch is hard too so using clutch frequently in traffic will cause pain. It has low end torque so that’s a plus in city riding. Himalayan is good in open roads/highways, engine feels relaxed. Of course one can use Himalayan as daily commute bike in city, but be aware the engine heats and hard clutch. Traffic is next level in Bangalore, not only Himalayan, I don’t like to ride any bike in Bangalore city 😆
      Agree, Yezdi has more hp than Himalayan so when it comes to highway touring, Yezdi will beat Himalayan. I personally cruise under 110 so Himalayan does the job for me 🙂

    • @dipanshu4807
      @dipanshu4807 2 года назад +1

      @@AshTrails i really can't maintain two bikes for daily commute and weekend travel 😅.. i really want to opt either of the adventure tourer type bike but if nothing works out I think Honda 350rs would be fine, but it's an last option i really don't want to take that easily. 😄

    • @AshTrails
      @AshTrails  2 года назад

      @@dipanshu4807 I only have Himalayan and I use it for touring as well as city rides, although I don’t use it in city much, 3-4 times a week I would say I use it in city. As I said we can use Himalayan in city too, it’s just that the engine heats/hard clutch etc. One will have to get use to it.
