She proved it in the end, She gave up Clark to save metropolis and the people. She diffuse the kryptonite bomb. she would rather see Clark happy then for him to die, because if Clark goes near her after she absorbed too much kryptonite he would die. that is the greatest love and sacrifice. Clark will always carry Lana in his heart and soul. that is his true love even though he settled for Lois as Second best.

why dose Lana have to marry lex it seems like what ever clark has lex wants and will most likely get he got Lana because his father told Lana that if she dose't marry lex then he will ether kill clark or tell the world his secter so I know Lana wanted to protect clark but still it a lot better then have his heart broken
