  • The MH25 thermal monocular by iRay USA is one of our absolute favorite helmet mountable thermal monoculars. This video is going over some of the details of this unit and why we like it so much.
    We began running the MH25 around a year ago and during that time we quickly realized how capable this unit is. There are some quirks and considerations with the MH25, however it is a heavy hitter in the world of high resolution, high performance thermals.
    You can purchase the MH25 directly on our website here: arkayne.com/product/iray-mh25...
    Purchasing our products and anything we retail helps support us and helps us to continue putting out content like this video.

    I have the iRay ML19 and love it; very similar in size and features minus the resolution and spotting laser. I needed something to pair with my TS25-384 with decent battery life. I have mine on a Wilcox bridge, mated with a MOD Armory D14 Dovetail MUM Adapter, and feels solid. The PVS-14 Eyepiece is a must if your going to helmet mount and should come standard on these units.

    Sure would have been be nice to see through the lens, actually using it. Off to look for videos that show that.

      Not going to find any that are worth a shit. Just go watch a video of their 640 core scopes, it's the same picture quality minus the magnification.

    Great quick little intro video to a piece of kit accessories. Being able to only speak for myself personally as I can’t speak for anyone else, the only detail of importance from this quick and brief “unboxing” type of video that was left out is the price.. I know it can’t be looked up but that’s the whole purpose of “unboxing” videos. Besides that, great little intro video to this piece of kit.

    irayusa states that with the included battery extender you can use 3v cr123a batteries, I'm guessing you can stack 2 of them and be under the 7V limit still, have you tried this to see if it is true?

    • @TATargets
      @TATargets  2 года назад

      Theoretically, yes. The issue is aftermarket rechargeable CR123A type batteries are 3.6 or 3.7 Volts. Folks have burned up their units by using two of these type batteries. Just be careful and use the proper batteries that iRay recommends with the extender.

    • @jamiejmusic8365

      @@TATargets Makes sense. I stocked up on tons of the surefire cr123a so I just wanted to make sure that they’re compatible. Any chance you could test how long the battery life would be if 2 of them were stacked in a extender?

    • @nickhout827
      @nickhout827 2 года назад

      @@jamiejmusic8365 The surefire batteries don't work with the MH25. You have to run 16340 batteries or a 16650 battery if you are using the battery extender. Manual says 3 hours with the 16650 but I've gotten longer
