  • I notice my hypocrisy when editing. Helicopter blades were not smooth and consistent speed. I can get better, and will, darn it! See you at the ice rink. If you are as impressed with my salchow as I am proud, then--absent a refinement or refutation--you might want to learn and practice these principles that I explain and demonstrate. By the way, I recommend only tighter position for quintuple, and of course, much more height than I show. Possibly deeper edges and faster, smoother, more outstretched rotors.

I used to get so caught up on the timing of the take off after completion of the 3 turn, but yours looks fluid rather than pausing before take off.

It actually helps that you're a lefty skater because there is very little content out there for us clockwise rotaters.

Glad you can relate to my rotational direction. The technique is of course the same, but I suppose it helps the visual part of your learning. The term "lefty" is often used for those of us who turn to the right or clockwise when viewed from above. It is a misnomer because it does not seem to correlate with the dominant hand. I am right-handed. You?

@@GaryBeacom-FigureSkater true, my coaches have said this as well haha. I write left handed but I'm actually ambidextrous. My natural spinning direction is counterclockwise but my natural jumping direction ended up being clockwise so spins are kind of a struggle. Coach made me pick a direction lol so I chose the jumping direction (clockwise).

@@GaryBeacom-FigureSkaterI am right handed too. And I choose to be lefty skater because I have more balance on my right leg .

    大人になってから、2サルコーを練習していますが、飛ぶ前のカーブ大切ですね。とても参考になります‼️

After the three turn you can hold the position for quite a long time before allowing your free leg to come round and complete the jump. 😊. Just seen the rest of video, yes just like you. But I hold the free leg further behind 😊
