Ermes proved Levan he can't continue like this, both for the competition and health, and Levan will for sure lower a bit and work on endurance.
Levan, on the other hand, proved Ermes that he can be a beast also pulling on different angles with whrist compromised, and also that the gap beetwen Ermes and other athletes is larger than everyone would have thought Ermes included probably.

Ermes was just as dead. I'm confused why people are acting like levan was the only 1 who was struggling with oxygen. Even John said by the 2nd round he was gassed. Ermes was dying and didn't want to pull any more either.

Ermes is an inspiration to everyone! He showed that no matter what the odds you should never give up and always believe in yourself. Was a fan of Ermes before this performance and doubly so after this battle which just reinforces what tremendous character he has.

you think its possible in the first 4 rounds for Ermes to pin Levan when Levan is still fresh?..From what i saw the first 4 rounds were pretty easy for Levan and he barely broke a sweat.... Round 5 was a very very long match with Levan putting Ermes one inch from the pad for about 3 to 5 minutes. That was a lot of work for Levan trying to pin that flop wrist....but first 4 rounds was easy for levan... anyway fun match

Just to weigh in on my logic, would you consider a boxer who was overpowering their opponent for most of the match and near the last rounds ends up getting knocked out and unable to continue the winner?
@@XxPlus6xX thats not how it works in armwrestling. Levan won 4 rounds and simply let the last 2 go. There is no knockout in armwrestling, you just lose the rest of the rounds. When Engin got hurt against Artur Makarov, he kept the wins. When Ermes got hurt against Genadi, he kept the wins and lost the rounds he did not participate in. Just deal with it

Yes, but not the same as kings move under the table. He does need to change his technique though as brute strength will only work in that move in the early rounds against someone like Ermes.
@E Rod Ermes is stronger than Levan in the elbow and arm but Levan relies too much on full hand control. When they first tried refs grip at the beginning of round 3, Levan had to foul to avoid Ermes winning center outside of straps.

It's a matter of rules and regulations. In boxing you have knock downs and knock outs. You can have 5 knock downs but if you then knock out your opponent you have won. Some people argue that Levan quitting is like a knock out. I can imagine that opinion, but it's not in the rule book. And indeed, Levan could get to the table and just surrender the last 2 rounds. Let's go one step further, and Ermes brakes Levans arm in round 5. Then I would also say Ermes has a knock out on Levan, and Ermes has won the match.
Most impressive thing about ermes is not his strenght but his fighting spirite. Believe me he was as tired as levan or almost there but nothing would have stopped his will of fighting

Exactly..if he trains harder in areas he found out he has some weakness with weights, does cardio everyday, loses 40-50 lbs, he'll look more dominant. He'll be even stronger at that preferred less weight b/c he'll be faster, have more endurance, more oxygen having more strength in the muscles, heart will be healthier, etc...He has less strength at his weight now.

I thought Levan looked superior. Ermes pushed Levan the hardest by far. Levan still flash pinned Ermes in the third round when each were gassed. Each of them are amazing competitors and such humble human beings.
That was after fouling in round 3 to get a restart when Ermes started winning center with his flop press. It was only after that, when Ermes had lost all pronation due to flop pressing so after that restart Levan was able to flash pin. Refs screwed up round 3 imo

Levan run away with fouls on 2 occasions because he was about to be pinned. The bullsh!t running foul rule wasn't executed as it should be. Levan only won on paper but he got destroyed by Ermes in reality. The ambulance came for him

I always knew ermes was the one to test the limits of levan.
I think if Levan had the instinct to quickly transition to a press when he had Ermes centermeters of the pad, it would have been 6-0 very quickly. Having said that, Levan was exposed as not a particularly fit or technically proficient fighter. Let's also not gush too much over Ermes, he never got the ball past the 50 yard line either.
For now Levan is still the king but eventually unless he retires it's inevitable he will get beaten. That's just the way it goes. Amazing performance from both athletes. Exciting times for the sport

Levan has a true friendship for Ermes - you an tell....He was pushed to the limits of his health - and still speaks in admiration of him.
I don’t know what the big deal is with Levon if you watch how the arm wrestling went, Ernest had him a lot of the rounds, Levon‘s elbow was up above the mat now what Devon was saying is true, but I’ve watch so many arm wrestling and everybody has different running fouls. I think arm wrestling should stick to one running foul. If the elbow comes off, it’s an automatic restart. If it comes off again from the same person, then it’s a win for the other person for Ermis to make Levon quit, you can say what you want but he is the true king of the table who knows if they’re running foul was more dealt with it could’ve been Ermis to one nobody knows but if I’m Levon, I would be worried now because people go to work on the side pressure more Levon being a big guy relies on that if he drops 20 pounds he’ll have to work harder to make more of that muscle back I’ve talked about it before steroids. It’s also a big thing in the sport.

The way Levan dominated the first 2 rounds just showed a different level of strength between them. In the 3rd round Levan got into the dangerous zone, similar to what we see with Chaffee and somehow in the 4th round managed to pull that flash pin, but completely gassed after that.
I think Levan will learn from this, to tell you the truth.

I think Ermes showed the most heart that day. On the flip side I don't think anyone could have beat Ermes EXCEPT Levan on Saturday. Levan is still the King and that match will only help him improve on his future reign.
So if two competitors are arm wrestling and the score is 4:1 best of 6 …. If the competitor with 4 pins gets injured did he then win the match? Or could he not continue the match and lost? I think since there is no way for the other competitor to win it is considered a win even though he can’t pull the other rounds.
To those fanboys of all types and arm wrestlers, I say relax. To those that are saying Devon has 0 chance and would be too weak for Ermes I say you never know. Everyone changes and these guys grow stronger all the time. I think Devon has grown a lot since his loss to Levan. He's definitely more mature in his muscle structure and is stronger now. I think he will improve more and become even stronger, but I do still think that Ermes, who will also only get stronger will win in their match, but it should be a good match. More than likely a 6-0 for Ermes, but maybe not too easy. Should be fun. Everyone stop hating one arm wrestler or another and just enjoy the fights that are coming up for our entertainment and be grateful to all these fighters. It's not easy for any of these guys to fight each other and stay up top amongst other elite pullers.

Levan beat ermes am sure about that given the results. However i did not see a pin from ermes and until i see someone pin levan then i will believe that someone was strong enough. However its not like levan have not had to take oxygen before in his life so its really something to consider if levan is physically fit to armwrestle then would he ever lose.

Several things have become very apparent:
Ermes is as strong as he's been telling everyone and with a bit more time he might be overall #1 guy.
Levan cannot healthily maintain his current weight and needs to made immediate changes or we are going to lose him young.
Flop wrist press combined with bleeding him out is the way to go against Levan.
The next match I want is Ermes vs Jerry because if Jerry has the same power as Ermes, he may have an amazing shit against Levan because Jerry is the best flop presser and he can do long matches no problem.
If think Dave Chaffee has great chances aswell in a Rematch with Levan if he uses his flop press.
Ermes only needed to win one round and Levan would have had to quit!

I'd read and seen where Levan was unhealthy and not feeling well going into the match. He seemed to have almost no problems with Ermes in the first 3 rounds. If Levan came into the match healthy and 100% I don't think he'd have thrown the last 2 rounds. Let's be clear... Ermes never came close to pinning Levan.

Only problem is Levan had already won the match, when you're up 4-0, the last two matches are just a formality. Sometimes the winner will politely give the loser a moral victory.
