Been following for years with my kids. We love the videos but this episode was ridiculous with commercials. I know it pays the bills but geez they were overwhelming.
We didn’t monetize the video, because we have the song Savages in it, they get the money and control the ads. We don’t make a dime from this years LOF videos just so we could use that song in the intro.
I'm not even sure if it was bad. I'm sure the bull would have expired from it. But making a shot that wasn't where you anticipated it to go after all those days training and practicing is frustrating
@@tylersinclair3502 exactly. every bowhunter has that happen to them at one point or another. It's a terrible feeling because we all know the animal deserves better. It deserves a quick death and sometimes it just doesn't go that way.

It show's the realness and genuine emotion's of a hunter who has the upmost respect for the animal's he hunt's and the standard's he is expecting of himself.. It shows how thing's don't alway's go how we intend for them to go but how his experience and composer allowed him to relocate the bull and seal the deal.. Look forward to learning from you all, I just bought a mountain property near Prescott Natl Forest and have some pretty large elk running around. I've only harvested fish up to this point since I've been living out of my small 4x4 truck with limited food storage. However, now that I have a place I'm interested in getting into bow hunting. Really excited to experience this lifestyle, my uncles have been lifelong hunters in Kansas and I've always enjoyed their hunting conversations.
Had never heard of Born and Raised Outdoors until I stumbled into an episode from LOF2 in April. Watched all of LOF1 and LOF2 since then. Literally helped keep my positive mentality through all the craziness of 2020. I appreciate you guys always keeping it positive and clean. Fan for life right here.
So my big shout out is going to the land owners on this first elk hunt. God bless you guys and your family for sharing your beautiful place with hunters . Without the slightest interest in archery, I watched land of the free series last year. After watching it I instantaneously bought a bugle tube and a bow and practiced both for a year. This last season was my first time hunting elk with a bow. I ended up calling one in and making a liver shot. I did not find my elk for over a week. It crushed me but i cannot wait for next season. Thank you guys for changing my hunting life!

Amazing video! Heart hurts for you Trevor. I had the same heartbreaking feeling on my Whitetail this year. This is my first year archery hunting and I made the rookie mistake of not paying attention to yardage.. Long story short ranged at 25 yards, drew back for 1 min due to no shot, let down, drew back and put the 30 pin on him by mistake. I hit high, but was lucky to find him 3 hours and alot of foot travel later. It happens to all hunters, but it is a very humbling and personal experience. Instances like that is when God reminds us that we are still human. But luckily God blessed us both and we did not have to carry the burden of never finding our animals. Cant wait to see the rest of the series! And thanks for being real in every video and showing it like it really is. Good or bad. You guys make us proud! -CY

It was a perfect hunt for a newbie to be a part of. To experience the highs and lows of elk hunting. No not perfect in how things played out. But perfect in what can happen and all the emotions to go along with it. Trevor, you did good. Love the leaf cami job on the bugle. I did that on my finish bow.
Beautiful bull! It is tough when they don't go down with the first shot-but you got him down in the end and that is what matters. Congrats Treavor, and I cannot wait to see the rest of LOF 3!
That was a great hunt guys. Treavor, your elk did not go very far for a shot that you didn't like. Most of us would like a shot that got an elk to slow and wait for the second shot like that. Congrats. He was a beast.

Have you guys called thermacell before? It makes the moskito go a way. No batterys needed. I higly recomended. It makes a area of 5.5×5.5 yards where are no moskitos. Its light and easy to carry. Thrust me i know i live in finland and we have a shit load of moskitos in here. Thank you for your videos i have watts you guys for years.

Making a bad shot is super tough. Every bow hunter has done it. Really glad you were able to make it work!

Bad shots happens, my issue is the penetration he gets, it seems very poor. I am no expert on elk, so I could be wrong
