Wow, thank you so much for posting that. I might be who it was too. I’m a little embarrassed to write all this, but I loved him dearly. Like a brother, like family. I still do of course, though I didn’t physically know him this time around. When I was a teenager, I got into heroin partially because he did, but it wasn't just a copycat thing. It was much deeper than that and I couldn't understand why at the time. I went to hell, I’d say about as bad as he was, or almost, just didn’t lose my teeth thank God, took years to get out, but got better and eventually got into soul shard retrieval, trauma healing etc. For many many years now. It's been an epic, disastrous mess and repair, so much stuff I brought to work on in this life. There has always been this profound connection to him throughout my story. In 2002, in the middle of my addiction, I had a dream one night about Layne. He was wearing a short sleeve T-shirt, which to a heroin addict, means you're doing better. We were in this bar just talking, I don't remember about what, just hanging out. We went out into this field and were rolling around in the grass together, down these steep hills. It was just fun, like kids playing. Then we ended up at this grave site. I couldn't tell whose grave it was, if it was his, or mine or what. I thought maybe it was a warning to me perhaps to get sober, but I think that was more my mind taking over, not necessarily what the message was. I woke up shortly after. It wasn't one of those 'your mind just farting out the day' dreams. It was a very heightened one. Like the ones that feel more real than real life type dream. And at that point I was so messed up I never dreamt anyway, so to be able to reach me in that state was pretty significant. The next morning, I’m on the way to the Methadone clinic and I hear this DJ come on the radio and say, "Layne Staley is missing and presumed dead." That was on 4/20/02. Later they announced that they found his body etc. I couldn’t stop crying, and I hadn’t cried for years I was so numb. I was 22, and had no idea what I was doing, I wasn’t into this stuff back then, but I made this command to the universe to take on whatever he couldn’t finish to help him. Like karmically. And trust me, I had more than enough of my own. It just came out of my mouth, in a very very emotional state. Which I’ve since learned was a no-no, but how we used to do things to help each other. This stuff is real, it’s no joke. Literally 4 days later I had manifested this junky girlfriend, which is something I asked for, and as soon as she came into my life, I spiraled downhill so fast. I was already downhill but she was entangled with such darkness, even though she was a sweet girl, I started having these mini strokes, and near heart attacks repeatedly, I gained 50 pounds in a couple months. My skin started dying and falling out when shooting up and on and on… uncontrollable muscle spasms this one time for like 12 hours… Skip to a few years ago, long after I was sober, I have this friend who is extremely psychic. She's just beyond gifted with this stuff. She dated someone who was/is really close friends with one of the guys in the band and she knew a few of them. Not Layne. This was after Layne died. I had sent her the River of Deceit video just cuz one day. She became fascinated with it and looked into our history on her own and said we were soul family. We came to the planet together. We had similar missions and they were very difficult ones. Like the ones who go way into the dark places to untie all the really twisted knots. I had separated myself from what they were all doing this life because I had so much stuff I wanted to work on in myself. To fully heal everything. I’ve always been a musician, almost got a record deal when I was 18, but it never worked out. It wasn’t meant to for me…every time I have watched Singles, which was filmed right as they all were starting to get successful, I always feel almost haunted. Like I was missing the party with all my friends. I've had friends in this life but never any that felt really like soulmates except one who wasn't around very long. One night she goes "I'm channeling Layne Staley." Because she knew how much I loved him. He proceeded to have all these messages for me. We were both surprised at how specific. She kept saying he had immense love for me and would call me his brother, that we were Monads, and were working on similar things in this life, but I had like ten times more of it than him, which was very true. :) He said I had built up all of these magnificent structures in these other lives and this life was about going underneath all of them and tearing them down. To be freed essentially. I was normally the older one, he said, and like the leader, but this time he went first, to start it off. He said I have always had this desire to change the world thing. Which is true. He said he never really had that. My friend said he had like a little kid soul. Not little kid in that he’s young. He’s very old and wise. Just little kid in like innocent. When I asked about what the dream meant, she said it was just him saying goodbye. He told her he hadn't taken another body and at the time wasn't going to. He was waiting for some others to finish and then was going to go somewhere else. He told her he had wished he had stayed and worked through the pain more. Maybe that’s what he just did though. But that he was ok. And this was back then of course. We all change in all dimensions all the time. She asked how he died. He showed her, but he didn't mention it was on purpose, but I always felt it was. At some point you just can get so broken in a body it's too hard to get out. And I guess it was in the contract too. It’s been a nightmare for me getting better. If I had had his money, I'd be dead many times over. I felt so much love that day. It was such a cool experience for me. Yeah, there's lots of famous people and musicians i love and think are cool for their work of course, but they don't feel like family. And not too long after that I did a massive clearing with this soul coach I was working with on whatever vow I made after he died to take on karmic stuff etc and we healed the whole thing the best we could for all of us. There's more to the story but I don't need to go into it here. This is already like the longest RUclips comment in history. When you said, at the end, whoever that message is to, I got chills all over my body for a couple minutes straight, and felt visited :) I think it was for me. I’m just finding this, but in March when you got this reading, I was living in this apartment I hated and was totally miserable. I had a job with an extremely toxic boss and felt like I was suffocating. I didn’t know how to get out. I was so burnt out I was getting concerned. It's been a longstanding pattern. I had done all this healing work for so many years, but had yet to fully step out of the old me. I suppose you could say I felt like I was drowning. I kept debating leaving again and again and couldn't make up my mind to do it. It was just tormenting me and was looking for reassurance I was making the right decision and that I'd be ok if I just jumped. I also play that song a lot on the guitar and sing it. I’ve had so many issues with my nervous system every little change is so intense. But I committed to taking steps to get out. For me. And I did. It was terrifying. In the middle of Covid no less.
In the past few months I moved to a new state to start over, left the job, came here to start my life over as the new healed person, to fully leave behind the old self and ideas of self etc, and to find what I'm gonna do with my life, and finally create the life I want. I’m writing a book about the whole journey including some of the stuff I mentioned here already. And probably will go into doing soul shard retrieval work for others after I recover a little more as I have so much experience with it. Anyway, it felt very much like he was talking to me. I have a tendency to try and help everyone else. Been a big issue of mine for so long. Responsibility for everyone. Try and be the savior. Maybe on a soul level I was still holding on to making sure he was ok. When we had talked to him, he said he was, but seemed a little sad and unsure. Kind of stuck even though he acted like he was fine. :) I have asked over the years here and there if he needed any help. My friend always got a no. But it was kind of a short, slightly defensive no. I felt he kind of did, just like it wasn’t necessarily my place to be involved in it. Or the right time. I was happy to hear this. In the end, we all find our way. We all find our own way. Wow Adam! Your story is going to help a LOT of people and my heart swells with pride for you. I have an overwhelming respect for you and the amount of work it took to come out the otherside. Adam, I had a little convo with him last night while I was waiting for my PJ's to warm up in the dryer. "How are you doing buddy?" He shows me his hands which look like quicksilver which I still can't really figure out, maybe you can help. Anyway, I sat here and asked my own guides to assist in removing residual fear you may have and move forward with love, confidence and strength. You are running towards something now, not running away. LOVE YOU ADAM!

I spoke to this other woman I work with often, not the friend I mentioned already, who is a very gifted medium and she said she felt the story wasn’t over. There was more with him. She suggested working with him more, like spirit writing etc. Which I started doing the other night. As far as the Quicksilver, I don’t know. Does it feel like he's asking for help with it or just showing you? Quicksilver could either be toxicity, like metal toxicity from drugs. Can that transfer into the energy fields after the physical? I'm sure it can. Or it can be a sign of rapid transformation. Maybe he’s just showing that he is progressing fast? My friend that channeled him said one time that he was really impressed with all of the work I had been doing, like the energy work and stuff. We didn't really have access to that or awareness of it till recently. If neither of those seem right and there’s more of a story, like an issue, I might have another idea or two.
I need to start trusting what I feel more…I got that the overdose was intentional too but I always think I’m wrong and brush it off so hearing you say this really made me realize I need to go with my gut because it never fails me
One more note after listening all of the way through. Mike was Mike Star, the bass player in Alice in Chains. He died from a drug overdose as well. He appeared on Dr. Drew's celebrity rehab. It doesn't surprise me that Layne intentionally took his life. His girlfriend, Demri died before he did from an infection that went to her heart as a result of IV drug use. I don't think he was ever the same after that. I could go on and on about Layne. Although I don't think the message was for me, I really can't thank you enough for giving him a voice.

I know this was posted 1.5yr ago but I just came across it & you, and I swear that last message was for me! Ive always wanted to pursue my dream in music but always kept avoiding it. I’ve been diving deep into AIC so much lately (I wasn’t around when they were big) but I feel like I was. I get déjà vu when I watch their music videos, it’s weird. Layne comes to me every once in a while. it's a very consuming and sad energy. makes me want to cry and give him a hug every time. he was too sweet for this world. ❤ btw, he saw Demri the night before he died. I think thats why he just gave up. he was ready to be with her.

I may regret saying this, but Layne can hang out at my pad for a few weeks if he wants. i wish he had lasted longer to contribute more meaningful music to his body of work, but apparently that was all he had in him. Appreciative of what he did bring to the soundtrack of my 90's. Appreciate you bringing him back to my consciousness for a day. Now going to listen to some A & C.
Interesting the tarot cards do remind me of him. Mike Starr. He suffered from depression, many drug addicts use their addictions as self medicating the demons out. A way of coping. Very sad story. Hope next life will be better for him. We all have addictions.
You are absolutely right MaryAnn, I have worked in addiction medicine and it is extremely common for alcohol/drugs to become a coping mechanism for underlying depression.

Sometimes I go on drives and listen to music to clear my head and I was listening to Alice in chains the day this was posted. I was going through a rough time in my life and I still think about the "pull off your skin, stay focused" thing years later.

I wondered if his over dose was planned. I felt maybe it was. He had been visited by Mike Starr on the 4th, one of his best friends. He told Mike he was really sick. "Don't leave like this. I can't breathe, man," he apparently told Mike as Mike was leaving the evening of the 4th. They had argued. Mike had been in the band at one point. Layne also mentioned once in an interview that his drug use was a risk. He was risking death. "This was probably part of it's appeal, " he had said You were right o with this reading.
A power greater than himself, would have helped him swim to shore ... Some musicians can have an incredible sensitivity that shows in the music, but such a challenge to live with. (Mike’s Dad was also getting high with him.)

When Chris Cornell died he and Kurt appeared and told me some stuff and Chris seemed lost and shocked he was on the other side. Layne did all the talking as usual. But I’ve never had him sing or say his lyrics . He’s very vocal about Kurt’s death ... he told me a few years ago I would eventually be with “someone like him” I’m with an old friend from high school and he got clean/delivered from the same stuff Layne was on. My partner doesn’t like me saying this .

Before I watch this video, I watched all of Alice In Chains music videos, for nostalgia lately. But don't confuse me watching them w/ me being a new AIC or Layne fan. I am far from that. I was a sophomore in high school when A.I.C. came out on the radio. That was about 1992- 1993. So long story short, I've been a long time fan of theirs. 🥰. I've always been haunted by how sad and out of it Layne was, on the Unplugged album. If you pay attention, He was only going by muscle feeling, not memory. I won't say anything else except, I hope he's now found peace. You're so loved , missed and respected , Layne. He knew how long he was going to be on Earth for, and he knew when his last day was going to be. It was in his life contract. We all have one. ☮. We love you, Layne

@@OnasTarot I’m not sure what “baby soul” means, can you explain it to me? Demri and Layne never had a baby together. Demri was a very small person, with some serious health problems and died young. She died before they got the chance, but I read they did want to get married and have babies someday. The three souls you are seeing....to me it kind of sounds like Demri, Layne, and Mike together. Mike died in 2011 I believe of a drug overdose. He had incredible guilt because he was at Layne’s house the night before he died. He told Layne he was going to call an ambulance, and Layne said if he did, he would never speak to him again. So Mike got angry and left, and the last thing Layne said to him was “don’t leave. Not like this.” I think Mike’s guilt contributed to his continued drug use and eventual death. Like you said, Mike and Layne were “twin flames”. Mike loved Layne very much. If baby soul means they were childlike, Demri and Layne were both incredibly childlike in a way. I’ve read a lot that Layne was like a child. Very warm and sweet and goofy. He was also mischievous and a prankster. Very lighthearted, but could be very emotional. Demri was childlike in that she was very uninhibited and wild and needed looking after. Mike was also very childlike. Very sweet. It’s strange, they seemed childlike but somehow like old souls at the same time. They never seemed like they belonged here. Demri was Layne’s lover. They were engaged but broke up. No one knows exactly why, but it’s alleged that they could not stay loyal to each other when Layne was touring, and that with the drug use, it was too toxic. Her heart grew very weak and Layne paid for her to have the valves replaced. She was told if she kept using, she would die. She eventually died of an overdose at the age of 27. It is said that Layne never got over it, and was never the same. He isolated himself for years before he died. And the night before he died, he told Mike that Demri visited him. Though she wasn’t exactly famous, Demri is fascinating in her own way. She was very beautiful and I’ve heard she was a very fun, caring person. Thank you for replying. I found this so interesting and beautiful. I see him in everything that you’ve said.
I feel, and his close friends feel like Layne had the longest suicide ever known bc he slowly dedicated himself to killing himself w drugs for years, especially after demri died. Can't believe he didn't mention demri

I couldn’t stop crying, and I hadn’t cried for years I was so numb. I was 22, and had no idea what I was doing, I wasn’t into this stuff back then, but I made this command to the universe to take on whatever he couldn’t finish to help him.
Like karmically. And trust me, I had more than enough of my own. It just came out of my mouth, in a very very emotional state. Which I’ve since learned was a no-no, but how we used to do things to help each other.
This stuff is real, it’s no joke.
Literally 4 days later I had manifested this junky girlfriend, which is something I asked for, and as soon as she came into my life, I spiraled downhill so fast. I was already downhill but she was entangled with such darkness, even though she was a sweet girl, I started having these mini strokes, and near heart attacks repeatedly, I gained 50 pounds in a couple months. My skin started dying and falling out when shooting up and on and on… uncontrollable muscle spasms this one time for like 12 hours…
Skip to a few years ago, long after I was sober, I have this friend who is extremely psychic. She's just beyond gifted with this stuff. She dated someone who was/is really close friends with one of the guys in the band and she knew a few of them. Not Layne. This was after Layne died.
I had sent her the River of Deceit video just cuz one day. She became fascinated with it and looked into our history on her own and said we were soul family. We came to the planet together. We had similar missions and they were very difficult ones.
Like the ones who go way into the dark places to untie all the really twisted knots. I had separated myself from what they were all doing this life because I had so much stuff I wanted to work on in myself. To fully heal everything.
I’ve always been a musician, almost got a record deal when I was 18, but it never worked out. It wasn’t meant to for me…every time I have watched Singles, which was filmed right as they all were starting to get successful, I always feel almost haunted. Like I was missing the party with all my friends.
I've had friends in this life but never any that felt really like soulmates except one who wasn't around very long.
One night she goes "I'm channeling Layne Staley." Because she knew how much I loved him.
He proceeded to have all these messages for me. We were both surprised at how specific.
She kept saying he had immense love for me and would call me his brother, that we were Monads, and were working on similar things in this life, but I had like ten times more of it than him, which was very true. :) He said I had built up all of these magnificent structures in these other lives and this life was about going underneath all of them and tearing them down. To be freed essentially.
I was normally the older one, he said, and like the leader, but this time he went first, to start it off. He said I have always had this desire to change the world thing. Which is true. He said he never really had that.
My friend said he had like a little kid soul. Not little kid in that he’s young. He’s very old and wise. Just little kid in like innocent.
When I asked about what the dream meant, she said it was just him saying goodbye.
He told her he hadn't taken another body and at the time wasn't going to. He was waiting for some others to finish and then was going to go somewhere else. He told her he had wished he had stayed and worked through the pain more. Maybe that’s what he just did though. But that he was ok. And this was back then of course. We all change in all dimensions all the time.
She asked how he died. He showed her, but he didn't mention it was on purpose, but I always felt it was.
At some point you just can get so broken in a body it's too hard to get out. And I guess it was in the contract too. It’s been a nightmare for me getting better. If I had had his money, I'd be dead many times over.
I felt so much love that day. It was such a cool experience for me. Yeah, there's lots of famous people and musicians i love and think are cool for their work of course, but they don't feel like family.
And not too long after that I did a massive clearing with this soul coach I was working with on whatever vow I made after he died to take on karmic stuff etc and we healed the whole thing the best we could for all of us.
There's more to the story but I don't need to go into it here. This is already like the longest RUclips comment in history.
When you said, at the end, whoever that message is to, I got chills all over my body for a couple minutes straight, and felt visited :) I think it was for me.
I’m just finding this, but in March when you got this reading, I was living in this apartment I hated and was totally miserable. I had a job with an extremely toxic boss and felt like I was suffocating. I didn’t know how to get out. I was so burnt out I was getting concerned. It's been a longstanding pattern. I had done all this healing work for so many years, but had yet to fully step out of the old me. I suppose you could say I felt like I was drowning.
I kept debating leaving again and again and couldn't make up my mind to do it. It was just tormenting me and was looking for reassurance I was making the right decision and that I'd be ok if I just jumped. I also play that song a lot on the guitar and sing it.
I’ve had so many issues with my nervous system every little change is so intense. But I committed to taking steps to get out. For me. And I did. It was terrifying. In the middle of Covid no less.
In the past few months I moved to a new state to start over, left the job, came here to start my life over as the new healed person, to fully leave behind the old self and ideas of self etc, and to find what I'm gonna do with my life, and finally create the life I want.
I’m writing a book about the whole journey including some of the stuff I mentioned here already.
And probably will go into doing soul shard retrieval work for others after I recover a little more as I have so much experience with it.
Anyway, it felt very much like he was talking to me.
I have a tendency to try and help everyone else. Been a big issue of mine for so long. Responsibility for everyone. Try and be the savior. Maybe on a soul level I was still holding on to making sure he was ok.
When we had talked to him, he said he was, but seemed a little sad and unsure. Kind of stuck even though he acted like he was fine. :)
I have asked over the years here and there if he needed any help. My friend always got a no. But it was kind of a short, slightly defensive no. I felt he kind of did, just like it wasn’t necessarily my place to be involved in it. Or the right time.
I was happy to hear this.
In the end, we all find our way. We all find our own way.

Adam, I had a little convo with him last night while I was waiting for my PJ's to warm up in the dryer. "How are you doing buddy?" He shows me his hands which look like quicksilver which I still can't really figure out, maybe you can help.
Anyway, I sat here and asked my own guides to assist in removing residual fear you may have and move forward with love, confidence and strength. You are running towards something now, not running away.

I spoke to this other woman I work with often, not the friend I mentioned already, who is a very gifted medium and she said she felt the story wasn’t over. There was more with him. She suggested working with him more, like spirit writing etc. Which I started doing the other night.
As far as the Quicksilver, I don’t know. Does it feel like he's asking for help with it or just showing you?
Quicksilver could either be toxicity, like metal toxicity from drugs. Can that transfer into the energy fields after the physical?
I'm sure it can.
Or it can be a sign of rapid transformation. Maybe he’s just showing that he is progressing fast? My friend that channeled him said one time that he was really impressed with all of the work I had been doing, like the energy work and stuff.
We didn't really have access to that or awareness of it till recently.
If neither of those seem right and there’s more of a story, like an issue, I might have another idea or two.

One more note after listening all of the way through. Mike was Mike Star, the bass player in Alice in Chains. He died from a drug overdose as well. He appeared on Dr. Drew's celebrity rehab. It doesn't surprise me that Layne intentionally took his life. His girlfriend, Demri died before he did from an infection that went to her heart as a result of IV drug use. I don't think he was ever the same after that. I could go on and on about Layne. Although I don't think the message was for me, I really can't thank you enough for giving him a voice.

Interesting the tarot cards do remind me of him. Mike Starr. He suffered from depression, many drug addicts use their addictions as self medicating the demons out. A way of coping. Very sad story. Hope next life will be better for him. We all have addictions.
You are absolutely right MaryAnn, I have worked in addiction medicine and it is extremely common for alcohol/drugs to become a coping mechanism for underlying depression.

Great reading. Thank you. I believe the message from Layne was to all his fans. He said he did not want to glamorize heroin. He didn't want others to follow in his shoes. I wondered if his over dose was planned. I felt maybe it was. He had been visited by Mike Starr on the 4th, one of his best friends. He told Mike he was really sick. "Don't leave like this. I can't breathe, man," he apparently told Mike as Mike was leaving the evening of the 4th. They had argued. Mike had been in the band at one point. Layne also mentioned once in an interview that his drug use was a risk. He was risking death. "This was probably part of it's appeal, " he had said You were right o with this reading.
A power greater than himself, would have helped him swim to shore ... Some musicians can have an incredible sensitivity that shows in the music, but such a challenge to live with.

Seriously Xen, someone pulled up beside me today at a stoplight and I looked over at the driver who was a dead ringer for Layne. I said, "ok buddy, whatever you need to tell me, I open to it", and then I get this comment. WOW
I’m a medium and Layne is the top guy on my guide team/ interested to see what he tells you. When Chris Cornell died he and Kurt appeared and told me some stuff and Chris seemed lost and shocked he was on the other side. Layne did all the talking as usual. But I’ve never had him sing or say his lyrics . He’s very vocal about Kurt’s death ... he told me a few years ago I would eventually be with “someone like him” I’m with an old friend from high school and he got clean/delivered from the same stuff Layne was on. My partner doesn’t like me saying this .

Before I watch this video, I watched all of Alice In Chains music videos, for nostalgia lately. But don't confuse me watching them w/ me being a new AIC or Layne fan. I am far from that. I was a sophomore in high school when A.I.C. came out on the radio. That was about 1992- 1993.
So long story short, I've been a long time fan of theirs. 🥰. I've always been haunted by how sad and out of it Layne was, on the Unplugged album. If you pay attention, He was only going by muscle feeling, not memory. I won't say anything else except, I hope he's now found peace. You're so loved , missed and respected , Layne. I did move in a couple of plants yesterday so, this little gut was likely in one of the plants but the timing was spot on. He loves you Ang, he loves his fans.

This is amazing. As you can see, I’m a Layne fan and this sounds just like him. He was very goofy, but also extremely spiritual. He was not of this world.

Demri and Layne never had a baby together.
Demri was a very small person, with some serious health problems and died young. She died before they got the chance, but I read they did want to get married and have babies someday.
The three souls you are seeing....to me it kind of sounds like Demri, Layne, and Mike together.
Mike died in 2011 I believe of a drug overdose. He had incredible guilt because he was at Layne’s house the night before he died. He told Layne he was going to call an ambulance, and Layne said if he did, he would never speak to him again. So Mike got angry and left, and the last thing Layne said to him was “don’t leave. Not like this.” I think Mike’s guilt contributed to his continued drug use and eventual death.
Like you said, Mike and Layne were “twin flames”. Mike loved Layne very much.
If baby soul means they were childlike, Demri and Layne were both incredibly childlike in a way. I’ve read a lot that Layne was like a child. Very warm and sweet and goofy. He was also mischievous and a prankster. Very lighthearted, but could be very emotional.
Demri was childlike in that she was very uninhibited and wild and needed looking after.
Mike was also very childlike. Very sweet.
It’s strange, they seemed childlike but somehow like old souls at the same time. They never seemed like they belonged here.
Demri was Layne’s lover. They were engaged but broke up. No one knows exactly why, but it’s alleged that they could not stay loyal to each other when Layne was touring, and that with the drug use, it was too toxic.
Her heart grew very weak and Layne paid for her to have the valves replaced. She was told if she kept using, she would die. She eventually died of an overdose at the age of 27.
It is said that Layne never got over it, and was never the same. He isolated himself for years before he died. And the night before he died, he told Mike that Demri visited him.
Though she wasn’t exactly famous, Demri is fascinating in her own way. She was very beautiful and I’ve heard she was a very fun, caring person.
