The Longest Film Ever Made

- What is the longest film? In order to determine this, we must first establish our criteria for defining a film. Anders Weberg's upcoming film AMBIANCÉ (2020) is often miscited as the longest recorded film, clocking in at 720 hours, or 30 days in length. Only... there is already a film over five days longer than that.
Erika Magnusson and Daniel Andersson's LOGISTICS (2012) is a 35 day and 17 hour journey documenting the slow freight journey of a pedometer from Sweden to China. In the age of speedy communication and technological progress, it is easy to neglect the logistics and speed of delivering consumer products across the world.

* movie, not journey
Season 3, Episode 13
Not sure what happened to their comment, but Logistics can now be rented in full on their website.
I worked 27 years in logistics.
I can say that this movie was more exiting.
*We must first answer: "what is a film?"*
Mind already blown.
my best friend yet here u are
Most flys dont even live that long...
A mayfly only lives one day and a female mayfly only lives 5 minutes after nymph stage.
This is an utterly enthralling video, it really taps into a concept I wish to explore on my channel at some point - the various guises of the avant garde film ( which of course would include films which feature jaw dropping durations lol)
Don't worry, post whenever you feel like! Love this content
When someone says nothing happens, they don't mean it literally, but rather that nothing meanigful or something banal is happening.

You are youtube's best kept secret. Hope you keep up the great work!
We need a sequel to this riveting movie.
I can’t imagine watching 857 hours of footage straight through. Imagine getting paid to watch the film at $25 per hour. That would amount to $21,425!
"It's my sleepover, i get to pick the movie!"
Wow well the Best 857 hours of watching well worth it
“When the horizon is at the bottom it’s interesting
When the horizon is at the top it’s interesting
When the horizon in the middle it’s boring as…”
well if you know you know ☺️
Wanted to see if anyone else on RUclips had there own opinion on the documentary and well thank you for making this
Curiosity killed the cat but what did it do to the dog 🤷 what did it do for everything else? I believe that’s why films like this are made
“because we can”
🔥
yup how are ya mini ginger
I mean stringing together 24 hour cameras counts as a movie?
lord of the rings
4:04 sounds relevant to Disney
Theo should Have made this a show not a movie
I wish you would put a review on IMDb. The reviews there are pretty funny but none of them are real 🤣 thanks for some info 💕
Isn’t The Longest Most Meaninglessness Film Ever Made is the longest film which ran for 48 hours
Nope. Logistics is like 35 days.
@@styleissubstance oh I’m sorry
@@styleissubstance does that movie exist?
@@styleissubstance if so where can I watch it?
@@whocrusader5179 vimeo.com/ondemand/logistics
Wow just wow
Good wow, or...?
@@styleissubstance Amazed wow. Didn't know films so long and simple like this existed.
And it's so good you need to watch at least in three parts if you don't want to die for lack of sleep.
👁️👁️
What's with these Swedish filmmakers??
i'm somehow here from ladbibles' snapchat story
There's something I really hate about these guys who want to destroy something that's intended to break a record, it makes it feel like "what was the point of that?"
It’s not intended to break a record. That was never the idea. It was always to make an artistic statement.
I’ve made films and Idk how you could destroy your art
@@ParzivalTheThird yeah, if they wanted to break the record they would've just set a camera and leave it on for a month
@@skeletonfilms3650 its like a sand mandala
Who comes from insta gram ?
Watching this video I get the urge to recommend the best long movie I know of - the documentary moive -TROM(The Reality Of Me). Its about 24 hours but it is not just static frames but a relevant overview of our world. And on top of that it is made by a single person.
