    At the very beginning he started the song slightly in a different key, but came back in key like nothing never happened. :)

      No I think he purposefully played it to emphasize the Lydian sound.

      +Joel Steinke Listening to it months after, thats exactly what he did. Starting on the #4 resolving to the 1 chord.

    He's - and Trane-- are just playing in a different "mode"'' like: "D"dorian--for example. Or "phrygian", for example. I didn't take time to get my horn and figure it out.
