This is a great demonstration of the anime opening principle of telling you about the story through visuals alone. AMV like these are why I got into several series, just from watching one, then a few others, and deciding it was something I would like.

As much as I'd love to see one of my favourite characters honored as such, it is clear that the world of Remnant and even the lyrics as well as mood of the song don't paint him in such a light. To put it plainly he was a tragic man who saw himself as the Hero while every other in-universe character didn't and that's what I tried to display here. No matter how much it pains me to do so.
@@atlesianphoenix Thats a fair and valid take and I appreciate you offering a calm repose. If I may, while I would agree everyone didn't see him as The Hero I'm positive people saw him has A hero. Qrow, Ozpin, Glynda and Winter for sure. I think his tragedy, the whole volumes tragedy, is that as things got worse he stopped trusting others. He stopped asking for help he desperately needed. It caused him to go to further and further lengths to keep people he cared about safe. Until the fear and pressure (at least partially self imposed) broke him. In the end it drives him from a well intentioned if zealous do-gooder to a Villain. By the end of his journey, he has gone from a troubled hero with a good heart to a tyrant who murders and arrests his own allies. I honestly really like the ark not because we the audience see it happening, but because the characters do to. Team RWBY, Qrow, and Robin try, in there own ways, to pull him back. And its part of the action taken to avoid him becoming the villain that lead to it. A wonderful tragedy.
Whoops....I just realised that this comment was on "Reckless Paradise" and not "Hero". I saw a comment about ironwood and just assumed it was for my "Hero" AMV. RUclips Studio on mobile is a bit confusing, my apologies. I guess my reply doesn't change much accept that the fact that I did intentionally put him in a villainous spotlight for this one. I heard the line "no heroes left to believe in" and immediately thought of Ironwood's hero status being one of doubt, at least to alot of other characters within Remnant. As much as people hated it I actually enjoyed him as both the Hero and Antagonist so I had a bit of fun driving a villainous narrative considering how much I also loved him as the Hero.

I really like this amv. My only complaint is that Iron feels like he's being treated as a straight up villain instead of a fallen hero.
