- Installing a Michelin guardian premium all season windshield wiper blade from Costco on my 2017 Ford Explorer. The directions are not very good, so hopefully this video helps people.

You are completely correct in that the instructions are complete garbage. For me I have an additional problem in that the three adapters I got are different than the ones you show. I am going to try and find out if my blades are of a newer design.

Thanks for the explanation. I just bought mine from Costo and they're going back. They put one piece of plastic on that must come out. Who knew!
Then another piece has to go on. Who knew! Then a small piece of plastic has to come off, but save it to put it back on? This is worst than a rubics cube. It'a all going back to costco, broken or not! Thanks for the confidence in that I realize I bought the wrong wiper blades. Remember, in a couple years or so, and probably in the winter when it's snowing, I will have to remember how the damn shit has to come off. NO THANK YOU, MICHELIN!

Just a heads up, the reason the clip comes installed on the blade is because most manufacturers use that type of j hook attachment on the wiper blade arms. Almost all vehicles I have changed blades on have been the j hook style.
Not on my 2016 Ford Escaple.
Why not just a simple hook. All this for some damn windshield wipers bro

I have a 2019 mustang and I followed the video from Michelin. Used the piece A3 only and it was a 2 minute job once I found out how to determine which piece was A3. The part number is printed on the underside. I didn’t use that small top piece.

Thanks the fact that I had to find the right combination of parts to work in my particular vehicle was not evident in the instructions. 40 minutes of my life that I will not get back. I no longer by my tires at Costco and now no more of this ridiculous assemble your self crap either.

At 1:04 that is preinstalled is what fits most cars - this is why its there

RLWSNOOK410 It wouldn’t have been so bad if they just had thorough instructions. I felt like an idiot trying to change these, but once I realized all the extra pieces were irrelevant and you had to use your hands to pry the pieces apart in order to expose where the hooks settles then it only took 30 seconds to install. Too bad it took me 20+ minutes to figure that out. I hope no one was watching me, otherwise I’ll have to surrender my man card!

Of coarse the part I wanted to see... was OFF CAMERA because people are trying to shoot video with 1 hand! Get a helper or a tripod!
I just broke mine because it thell you to lift that tab but it broke right off.
So return it to Costco

Very useless stupid graphics from Michelin I ended up breaking the tab luckily I had leftovers from other wipers. Please take your time and change your wipers in good lighting conditions before they break.
My wiper arm is straight with a hole on the tab. Ford C-Max Hybrid 2013. Great car. Worthless blade adapters.

I appreciate your effort but you did almost all the important elements of this demonstration off camera. Every time you came to the part that is critical you say you can't do it with one hand and will show the result once complete. Good effort but not quite a bullseye...

I appreciate the author's effort, but I found the camera work and explanation not helpful. I will take my car to the Ford dealer to change my blades. I will never again buy any Michelin product. Any company that builds an empire that includes this mechanism does not care enough about safety to get my business.
