Another great video thanks, and you are surely not the only one who forgot something. Changed clothes on a rainy day somewhere at a closed shop in Germany to realize after 70km standing thirsty in a shop that I left my wallet on the shopping trolley 🥴. It was a long day but luckily it was still there 🙂 . Nearby camping on a farmers land and warm campfire made it al good

One time I forgot my long sleeve polyester shirt from REI up in the mountains of Ojai, California. I drove 20 miles down the mountain and then another 20 miles south down the coast near Malibu, California. I don't recall how I knew it was gone, but I turned around and drove straight back to get it. When I arrived back at the campsite in the mountains, a group of people were also there. And there was one of my favorite camp shirts, right on the picnic table. A gentleman began to pick it up. I said,”thank you, that's mine.” It was a miracle no one else picked it up! I was so glad to have my favorite camp shirt back! It is the warmest shirt I've ever owned.

Hi there. Thank you for your wonderful videos, which are produced on a high level . I love to follow your travels. Indeed, I got a story to tell, too. It was 2010: we were on a long-term bike tour through Australia. I forgot my beloved cotton towel in a hotel (we took a room because it was raining heavily), which I bought a few years earlier in Thailand. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until the next day, when we were already 100km away. I was very annoyed with myself and over the following days I kept talking about how important this piece of cotton was to me. In the end we rescheduled our tour so that I cycled back to the town and the cloth was actually still there. I was the happiest person on earth when I held it in my hands again. I still have it and I use it on all my trips ( I still travel by bicycle 5 to 8 weeks a year) and I always make sure that I don't forget it anywhere. Groetjes uit Zwitserland. Mich (I'm married with a Dutch 😉)

My boyfriend forgot a ukulele at a train station in Greece (with his passport in the front pocket :D). We got on the train with our heavy loaded bikes, the door shut and then he realized the ukulele was left on the bench! We got off at the next station so that he could take the next train back - the ukulele was intact ;). Love the shots and the music! Thank you guys, we really enjoy following your trip! ♥️🌅🚴‍♂️🚴🏼‍♀️

Nice video again. I'm looking forward to the next.
I also forgot something during my cycling holiday that i really need. It happened in Norway when I was on my way to the North Cape. I followed the coastal route and then you regularly have to take a ferry to an next island. When I was on such a ferry I realized that I had forgotten my battery charger from my camera. This was still connected to the socket in the sanitary building at the campsite where I stayed that night. So back and forth with the ferry, back to the campsite, which was luckily close by, and then continue my route with the same ferry. All together it took me almost 3 hours but it was too important to lose. I wonder what the captain must have been thinking...

I wasn't cycling, but left my money belt under my pillow in a hotel in Isla De La Mujeres, Mexico. When I got the ferry off the island to the mainland, I paid with cash from my pocket, and the same for the bus trip when going south towards Cozumel. Suddenly, after about 15mins sitting in the bus, I realised what I'd done. The bus driver reluctantly let me get off the bus, and luckily I was not far walking distance from the airport. From the airport, I haggled with a taxi driver to take me back to the port. I had just enough left to get the ferry back to the island. Walking down the dirt track to the hotel, the maids were on the balcony waving my money belt at me and laughing. It had my passport, credit cards, travellers cheques, and cash - all present when I got it back. A very lucky escape, and wonderful honesty from the hotel workers.

Hi there! good to see you both rollin' down them dusty trails. Digging the trail vibe there with the music. Looks deserted, have not seen cars, other vehicles? that's my idea of heaven. I know of wines from there. Georgia is the home of the oldest wines known to man - as far as we know so far, I love the picture on the wall of the Native American - Sitting Bull? My van keys got left behind in the grass of a field once - the people next to us chased us down in town at a cafe to return them - Briget & Norman from York you guys were top. I hope to return to Bala again soon.

Another great video!

Another wonderful video. Thanks. I haven't left behind much in my many tours. I count bike gloves, Swiss army knife, and spoons among top essentials. Unfortunately, they're all very easy to go unnoticed after a break or night camping, so I carry a backup so I never have to return when a glove or spoon is lost.

You mentioned forgetting items - well, years ago, bike packing in Ireland I left my bum bag in a campsite toilet. We cycled on for about 29km when I realised it was missing. No money for the well deserved ice cream! We phoned the site from a kindly tourist info office. (No mobile phones then!) The guy went to look, found it - bank cards, passports, cash all there. He disguised it in a cereal box and put it in a taxi. Well worth the €18 (ish) to get it all back!

To your question. I thought for a long time if I forgot something that I got back but I couldn't think of anything even though I am often distracted. Ok, I once lost my key ring while swapping in the Mediterranean. Then I dived again and again for hours and actually found it again.

Nearly on every cycling tour I am loosing things. On my very first cycling tour to Santiago I slept in a monastry where Bernadette de Soubirou is burried. In the evening I did my laundry in the shower. Before breakfest I put my wet laundry seperated in a plastic sac to dry on the flag stock on my bicycle. After 30 km I wanted to take a nice picture of my bicycle with a very old farm. When I looked in the lens of my camera I noticed that there was no laundry drying on the flag of my bicycle, damned, gone was my Assos throuser and some other clothes. A gift to the monastry of Bernadette de Lourdes.

Thanks! I think you are talking about the Coca Cola bottles. Just the generic ones from the supermarket. The BBB XL Fueltank cages are unfortunately not made anymore but are great for this style of bottle

HAHA! Yes as a matter of fact we have forgotten and "misplaced" something before. We'll mentioned two things that are from our first round the world tour way back in 2014 and 2015. Petra and our oldest daughter stopped at a stand in Cambodia in the middle of no where to buy a drink. Afterwards we cycled about 10 more miles (16kms) to a village and were going grabbing something to eat. This is when Petra discovered she no longer had her little money bag and we figured she left it at this stand. So I (Ron) take off all my panniers and haul butt back there to get her money bag that also contained all of her credit/debit cards, and other forms of Identification. I arrive and nothing, nada, no one saw or found Petra's money pouch. To be honest, I didn't expect to find any money and I just wanted our debit/credit cards, but the good folks at this stand on the side of the road didn't have it. So I rode back and luckily our daughter had money so we ate and now with it being to late to cycle further (plus I was now over 50 miles total for the day), we managed to find a place to crash here, In the morning and by some crazy miracle our daughter found Petra's little money bag on the back of her bike on top of her panniers. How we missed that and how it did not fall off the bike is anyone's guess. Sadly though, we had already contacted our bank back in Florida and canceled the cards and once that is done, it's a done deal and the cards are no longer any good. Second time we forgot something, I (Ron) forgot my Crocks in a place we were staying at in Vietnam. We were about 7 miles away when I dropped off all my gear and cycled back to get them. Funny thing is, the owner lady had already taken them and put them in a room for someone else to use. LOL! She apologized, but I didn't blame her at all. I mean, I forgot them and she was going to put them to good use. Cheers from Mexico you two and hope you have a great 2022! Your friends, Ron & Petra!

I left my favorite Sierra Designs overmitts in a restroom. I returned maybe ten minutes later and they were gone. No one had turned them in.
I left my phone in a shopping cart (the black case blended in with the black child's seat). When I returned after about fifteen minutes, an employee and a customer were going through my phone, trying to find contact information, and I got it back.
I've learned not to put my phone down anywhere in a store. It's too easy to get distracted with the shopping and forget about the phone, so it now stays with me at all times.

on your question if anyone ever forgotten something, well..... I've done 2 bike camino's from Haarlem to Santiago but my first was a walking camino. I walked with my backpack and 2 poles. One day, after having a coffee I was walking on but it didn't feel good. I felt a bit, how to say, naked? It kept on bothering me and after 5 KM or so I realized I'd forgotten my poles on the coffee place. On a walking day, that's a 10 km extra big burden.

As for forgetting something on tour......
My wife forgot her spare underwear on our first night of a month long tour in Zanskar area of the Indian Himalaya. She survived the rest of the tour without a spare! Our short video is here: ruclips.net/video/2roGv-2KpeI/видео.html. You will enjoy it. Happy riding.

While bicycle touring through Northern Italy, I forgot to return the keys to the hotel room that I left from that morning. I had payed for the room directly at check-in, so I could leave early next morning. I found the keys more than an hour after I left. I asked a cyclist whether he was going that direction and he kindly agreed to return the keys for me.

BTW - Yes, I forgot something too. In Australia, on my O-Oz (around Australia) trip in 2013 I took the wrong turn out from the roundabout. It cost me 27km (x2 =54km)... Oh, well... ;)

I have left a few things behind before, but Not as interesting as what my mother and father left behind on the beach once....Me! I was 6 years old and unaware I had been left behind. I believe they flipped a coin whether or not to come back for me. Being one of four siblings it`s easy to lose one child on your travels.

In mainland Europe, everyone (?) says 'biological' produce but in the UK (and other English speaking countries?) we say 'organic'. I am genuinely interested: what do you say in your country? Comment 'bio' or 'org' and your country
