I’ve been surfing for 4 years, overall for a beginner I would say the main thing is make sure you are using a board that caters to your skill level, so learning the basics on foam boards until you feel ready to advance to a fibreglass board. I learnt this the hard way and it made me progress slower than I should’ve. Other than that mate just keep at it and over time you will feel yourself improving.
