To be honest I know people in India who finds such movies "hilarious" and call it "paisa vasool". Basically they all have the humour sense of a 8 year old.

The hindi comedy films made between 2000-10 had some satirical,sensible and had more physical comedy with good dialogues and jokes we can say it was mature comedy to some extent (specially priyan sir)
I would say these are the most powerful directors of that decade in terms of comedy films(in ranking)-

Now there is a certain thing that I noticed was the mastermind writer
Mr. Neeraj Vora
was associated with the most of the successful comedy films not only with priyadarshan but also with Rohit and with some others
And in between 2004-5 sajid-farhad entered and Rohit worked with them after his some films and they were good until they were working together but after that Farhad got all the work and destroyed the whole comedy scene from the industry it means Sajid was the mind behind some sensible comedies
