With over 350 employees in 80 different roles at our shelters, and over 2500 volunteers, you'll notice what an integral part each and every one plays in supporting our mission of engaging the hearts, hands and minds of the community to help animals.

I am always so heart melted by all animals, I love them so much. I adopted my cat at a Humane Society in Evansville, In. when she was 6, she's 14 now and almost 15 but she still gets around amazingly! She's a little princess and she's demanding but she's the best cat ever. I seen all the loving and happy dogs and cats in this video and it makes me so happy to see that you all take such good care of animals and pamper them as I do too. It make me want to adopt all of them because they all look so precious and they all deserve a good home. 💙

I'm volunteering at the humane society near me. Can't wait to start on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!
Three of my pets (2 dogs and 1 cat) were put with rescue organizations by my daughter when I caught covid19 and had to go into the hospital followed by 2 weeks of rehab. I was gone nearly a month. I can't get them back. One of my cats got away and hung around the neighborhood until I returned home. If you live alone without family able to take care of your pets if you have to be hospitalized, please be aware that this could happen to you, too. Make a contingency plan, it will save you some heartbreak.

That is amazing! They have them in cages, but the cages are spacious and comfortable, they take the animals regularly on walks, they pet and sit with the animals, they feed the animals well, give them water, and then they come to adoption. And that sounds pretty nice doesn't it?
I adopted a dog from here her name was Zoe sadly she was hit by a car she was only two :( we were originally going to get this beagle puppy but everyone wanted him so the next day while my sister and mom were looking at cats while my dad was with them I was looking around and I saw her I was pretty little when we got her... I miss her SOOO much

There's a disturbing Trend Across America where Humane Societies are becoming little more than animal control shelters. A real Humane Society accepts and investigates cruelty complaints, and shows concern for more than just pet animals . Farm and factory farm animals have never had it worse in my opinion. That is in large part because of " ag gag" laws which have threatened animal rights activists from undercover investigations and the exposure of slaughterhouse and factory farm cruelty. I don't see the national animal protection agencies lobbying Congress for better lives for meat animals. Any Wisconsin state law says basically that there can be no increase in standards of care from what farmers have always been doing. For more on " ag gag" law see Bill Maher's recent video on RUclips. Bill mahr is the greatest American philosopher alive today!
I want to volunteer their but how do you do that? Sorry I’m not even in high school yet, I’m just planning. I love animals, probably more then humans, and I can’t stand seeing all the horrible things that humans do to them. I want to volunteer there or work there but I’m not sure how to apply. Of course I can’t right now. I just mean for later so I can have time to study all about these different types of animals and how to specifically care for them.

This breaks my heart. The Grand Strand Humane Society in SC is housing animals in a condemned building. A wonderful company Santee Copper donated land to them and want to put up a state of the art shelter but a community of about 30 people don’t want it. One woman in that community said that there would be diseases, rat infestation and a lot of people on the street doing community service. ? They said their property value would go down. Property values before the lives of animals. So sad.

Ok I have another question what if we are going to travel somewhere what papers will I need? Will u make the papers? And how do I let my dog sit next to me on my flight? Ik it’s a lot to ask but I’m going to move at the end of this year on the air plane but I’ll also be adopting a dog near that time so how do I get ready what papers will I need and especially will the airlines let my dog next to me
