Thanks for watching everyone! I gotta give another shoutout to our friend on the A&M for helping us out! Lemme know if you’d like to see us return to the A&M in the fall perhaps!
Very awesome video I remember having a Pinterest video of the Arkansas and Missouri long time ago it was VHS that's cool to see that that railroad still exists and does still have alco's running around film that railroad every chance you get that's my advice to you my friend great video peace out have a great day
wow. I remember the A&M when most of its c 420s were in original d&h, cn, cp, paint pre overhaul, and the track was like the ND&W! trains just made 10-12 mph waving and bobbing like they were running on the ground at times. and now pacing a 70 mac at about 60? incredible!
That's pretty cool that Fort Smith has a trolley operation it's historically noted that Elvis Presley was stationed at Fort Smith Arkansas when he joined the army back in 1959 the day that rock and roll almost died a combination of events that include Elvis joining the army Little Richard going back to church and Buddy Holly dying in a plane crash at age 22
It's a year later and I'm just getting to watch this. As for 71 she still wearing her non AM scheme, 71 used to used to have the AM colors someone told me that she was badly damaged in a washout while heading to Fort Smith. Thank you for posting this video.
Great videos & info. Love the innovation using estabilished equipment. Great grand dad was carrer MOW; he started on the UP in Kansas in 1870's & '80's including '86 Kansas blizzard
Enjoyed this video. Haven’t seen to many A&M RR videos on my feed, so this was a bonus. Love the old Alcos, I am originally from northeast PA, we have the Delaware Lackawanna which is part of GVT around there. Lots to see. The pacing shot was awesome and your narration was on point, something I am still trying to improve .
I would love to see more shots around Winslow too. and there's a nice bridge south of Chester by the interstate that can be accessed by drone that is awesome. my friend and i chased the excursion from Winslow to Chester on the way back from the eclipse. it was so awesome. the mountains and scenery. I would love to catch their freight trains. i have no idea when they run or how often.
I went to Fort Smith on the weekend of February 23 I am now recertified as a motorman for the Fort Smith Trolley Museum I had a great time and for the first time I was able to capture the Fort Smith railways former CSX GP30 slug which I made a short video on my channel
Could you do a historical video, about the railroad that used to run through Taylor, Arkansas that lead into Springhill, Louisiana? I've heard stories about that railroad, including one about a "ghost train"
Just found this video, I live in Neosho Mo, about 40 miles north of the Ark. line. Joplin Mo. is about 14 miles north of Neosho and I see the A&M in Joplin and in neighboring town of Carthage regularly'
I remember when Frisco used to work in Fort Smith, Ar. There used to be railroad track all over the city. Unfortunately not any more. Not as much industry now. Really sad.
Good video! Thanks. As one that's lived in a few locations in the Arklahoma region, as well as being quite familiar the the A&M, I'll help you with a couple of pronunciations that are a bit tricky: "Avoca" is pronounced "uh VOE ka". "Monett" is pronounced "MOE net". Hope you get back up that way and shoot some more video!
@@LouisianaRailProductions I'm sure I would murder the pronunciations of names in Louisiana, if I were there! Y'all got some toughies. I don't even know how to pronounce "Baton Rouge" correctly!
For quite awhile there was an A&M switcher switching the paper mill in West Monroe, LA...#14 was the number IIRC. Also....A&M #73 looks like it may have worked for the L&NW. Maybe? Just my wild guess. 😜 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That old T6 is still there! I actually tried to see if it was out of the mill yesterday. No luck for about the 500th time haha! I must’ve missed 73 rolling through Homer as a kid! Leave it to Patriot to get rid of the pride of the fleet!
@@LouisianaRailProductions thank you for this video! I ended up heading to the yard and an engineer came over and talked to me and said if I wanted to, I could head over to the north yard and watch some switch! Full day of 42, 56, & 57!
I’m fixing to model this railroad in HO scale. I work across the tracks from Eagle concrete and see these trains every day. And BTW, it’s pronounced Monā not monet.
See I’ve been told by other locals that it’s “Moe Net”. Gotta say this is the first town I’ve come across where people that live in the region disagree on its pronunciation haha!
Not to be the nit-picking super know it all guy, but... The sand comes from, not a quarry, but from being dredged out of the river. Pretty interesting operation in itself.
I’m a part-time motor man for the Fort Smith Trolley Museum as of 2023 and recently I got that certification renewed on the weekend of February 23 I was able to capture for the first time the former CSX GP30 slug on the Fort Smith Railway ruclips.net/video/aJ663j0a3lM/видео.htmlsi=Ewyjn9FTyeS736bk
Sadly as time turns, it'll get bought out by one of the conglomerates sooner than later. Strange how times change, rrs spun routes off and now other corps want it all.

Yes
Yes sirrie Bishop pal.
Great video. Next time you return, check out the Missouri and Northern Arkansas which is also in the area.
This is definitely a neat little shortline that I’m long overdue for a visit to. Nice catches on the A&M.
Definitely recommend it!
Yes, more coverage sir!
Noted! I’ll see what I can do!
Always enjoy your videos.
I appreciate it John!
Another excellent video with a great commentary which I enjoyed. Please go back there and make another video.👍😁😁😁😁😁🚂🇬🇧
YES! Please return!!!
Will do!
Enjoyed the video! Would love to see more.
Great shot of the Monett Turn

Thanks my friend!
Very nicely done. Excellent video.
Great narration as usual. More please.
Awesome work👌👌.

Great video! You should do more of these! I recommend railfaning FEC and Wisconsin southern too!
Both of those are on my list to check out!

That would be the Missouri and Northern Arkansas Railroad (MNA) as A&M only runs as far north as Monet.
FANTASTIC video my good and dear friend, it really is fantastic just like all your videos 🤩🤩🤩🤩. Like 169 👍 !!!!!!
