I'm watching this right now from Cardon surf camp North of Mazatlan. I'm glad I didn't bring your jinx board, there'd be no waves! I took a 5'5" fish, 6'0" standard short board and a 7'4" fun gun. I kept it under 50lbs by putting fins and leashes in my other bag so Alaska Air only charged $40. No damage, I have a system that works, massive padding on the nose and tail. I remember when Pope Bisect came out with a very similar design to your board, apparently they were very strong.
@@HydroMind I can't wait to check out the clip, the two piece board is definitely part of the future. I can't find any really good vids yet of the concept in decent waves.
very interesting. I think it won't be strong for landing aerials and big floater but it definitely can be a fun board if you don't do crazy tricks. let us know!
i need something that wide. recently graduated from a long board. i was messing with my 18.5" 6'2" shortboard hand me down and just ate shit all day lol
YYC, you are from Calgary?? Thats what I call landlocked lol. No wonder you need a flight friendly board. Im having the same issue but from Montreal... hopefully the board is legit, it could be a potential solution.
@@HydroMind at least you have the west coast near, I have access to really cheap stand by airplane tickets but on the east coast you really need to be on it... Still no issues with luggage fees? Im a little surprised.. I was looking at the 6"4 22 in 48L (similar to yours) but it seems to me that it would be over the checked in luggage limit. At air canada it is 62 linear inches max to check in luggage. 6"4 split in half is 38 + 22 for the width you are already at 60 inches + add the thickness and you are busting the limit...

Damn 3 boards no FEES? You're the true master! Haha, jinx board is right. I hope you had a great trip Brant!
Please upload video of you riding this board. looks awesome!!
My plan was to mount a gopro to the board but it's such a nice looking board I just couldn't do it! I'm gonna be hiring a filmer in 2021 hopefully

Width in the chest helps. Check out the "baked potato" by fire wire
Surely there has to be a lot of flex in the contraption.

The board is soooooo sick! Ya Alberta is rough for surfing. Moving back to BC this spring though!
