For those who want to change the color of the black spiral, make an adjustment layer, put it under the spiral layer, put the fill effect on it, choose the color you want the other spiral to be and check the invert box !
Man I absolutely love your intro comment when you said "Y can hypnotize people or do whatever, it is none of my business" :)
I subscribed at that point :D
I don't judge.
@@haktanmaya6550 me too!
@@motionbynick hey how did you open the rotational property
?
stunningly simple but effective! Thanks so much for sharing x

Damn bro, you really earned that sub. Amazingly done and explained. Thanks a ton!
great vid thanks
hey thankyou ~
To fix the pixels to a certain level of course it's not that smooth tho
Add Gaussian Blur to like 5.5 value
Then Add levels
switch to alpha channel and slide the arrow from right to left until nearly before hitting the middle
NICE
You sir, Kick Ass!
Thank you for this tutorial. It's my first time exporting on after effects and I wanted to take the spiral and put it into premiere for a background. I rendered it in quicktime, all the other settings ensured that the quality was high 1080p etc but the quality still looks quite fuzzy around the black edges. How can I fix this?
"It's not really my business" I laughed so hard😂
Cool tutorial btw
Thanks! This was fun to play with. Any advice on how to set up the comp so it will infinitely loop?
Use a time expression on the rotation / evolution: www.schoolofmotion.com/blog/time-expression-after-effects
halooo :3 is there a way i can make the rotation expression start 2 secs in (instead of rotating from the beginning)?
Good video Nick! What if I want to make a 3 color spiral?
Well technically this is just making "one" color spiral, and your background color is making the other spiral. So you could just make a second spiral to make the third color.
How to coloring it? I need help plss
What expression do you type in
Can you make a version but unus annus spiral?
If you stacked 3 solids, could you do multiple colors?
Did you learn this? Because I want to make spirals that include space illustrations...
hey man what if we want to change the colors ? i dont want black
add a fill effect or change the solid color
I've tried this but so far couldn't hypnotize anyone, what am I doing wrong?
Is this possible for eyes? Because I have an art assignment and I really wanted to make the eyes a moving spiral, yet I'm not sure how to reshape it to fit into the eye socket.
easiest way would be to precompose the spiral, then: a) draw an eye shape mask on the precomp b) use the eye shape as a matte
@@motionbynick I- shall make an attempt as idk what all that means, =~= new to after effects, only been using illustrator and photoshop for class.
How can I set the colours for the spiral ?
Whatever color you make the solid is the color of the spiral. You can also add a Fill effect on top.
@@motionbynick thank you for your answer also thank you the tutorial.
video text are not appearing clearly intially what you said for spreading solid command
What time code?
The center has a different rate of curve than the outside. Doesn't look good.
Tut on :16 ?):
