what if an American Astronaut on the moon renounces their Citizenship before committing murder on the Moon. According to the Space treaty of 1067 no nation owns the Moon. As such no jurisdiction exists. At that point if there are more than two people on the Moon the others could act as executioners in self defense by locking the murderer out on the surface. The treaty specifies that all nations with the ability must help the Astronauts of any other country in an emergency, however after renouncing Citizenship that Astronaut is no longer an Astronaut of any other country. So those who lock the one outside have upheld the treaty. The reason the treaty matters is because the US Constitution says treaties are the Supreme Law of the Land and as such the treaty might overcome self defense thereby making them guilty of murder especially if the murderer held dual Citizenship. If the other country agrees I suppose both countries could appoint the other Astronauts as members of the military and order them to use deadly force. It's complicated but without a legal background and just going off the top of my head I had fun with this. Thanks.
Was it Buzz lightyear who murdered someone?
Or Neil Armstrong?
Maybe the other one 🤭
