Andre CAMPRA is severely underrated. His career started in Toulouse (my native town), where he took over from Gilles, famous for his outstanding Requiem. He told that Rameau would supersede all other opera composers, and that turned right. For a French listener, this rendering sounds somehow strange and a bit excessive in its expression. But I must confess that it is quite difficult to keep our interest up in such long ariosos and recitatives. ❤❤❤
