i heavily relate to not believing I "deserve" nice things including and particularly travel. Went on my first solo trip in 2018 when I was 29 and the peace and safety and relief I felt was indescribable cuz how dare me afford a flight and take care of myself! i'm just a child of poverty who has always struggled 😭. Not at the designer bag stage yet and still travel mainly to places south of the equator where it's "cheaper" but I'm soo excited for a first class trip to Asia whenever it happens 😍

Plan for three generations down your line. Not just for tomorrow. Those brands plan off of people who think they have arrived because they are buying them whether they can afford them or not. When I visited Paris for the first time last year (for my 27th birthday), some of the things the white people were saying when staring were not racist at all. French people stare the same way Americans, Brits, and Hispanics stare. Some of the things they were saying were usually trying to guess which region of Africa I was from; others were talking about style, eccentricity, and body curve, and someone even asked me if they could smell me because I looked like I smelled of a combination of cacao and honey...I always tell people that before you start judging a whole nation/country/region, have your own experience first. I have been treated worse in Miami, Florida, than I have ever been treated in "European" countries and even Muslim countries. I am so glad you had a great time. I know I am super late, but happy belated birthday
Yes Simone you deserve nice things always remember that and I think that the european way to cook is very diffrent than the American way you know like Americans love to cook with butter but the Europeans like vegetable oil etc … I hope you still enjoyed your time and it wouldn’t be your last time in Europe 🥰🥰 much love
