Those look sick Brother!! I’m currently rocking the SmallRig ones (which I love), but it’s good to know if I ever need 4 lav mics!!! Great video once again brother!!!
Woof, yeah these don't sound great. With the voice isolation on it really cripples the sound. Agreed with the other comment about them getting clipped. Would love to see DJI or Rode do one of these. I'd love to run a 4 transmitter system and not have to run time code on two separate systems.
Yeah, I’m gonna be honest they’re not the best microphones and I wouldn’t recommend them for professional use. I do think you could get away with using them for social media and RUclips but I think the exciting thing is the fact that they were able to achieve a four mic transmitter. I think in the future we might see lav microphones be able to transmit multiple mics onto one receiver which would be exciting
Yeah it does that’s what’s cool about it. However, I will say that the audio quality isn’t the absolute best but in a situation where you need to capture 2 to 4 speakers at once it’s really awesome. I definitely don’t suggest this for professional level quality audio capture. I think this is purely for social media and RUclips not your documentary or Film Project lol
@@UnfitRuler Yeah I Have done a bunch of research, and found that not only do I need a cable that didn't come with with the Vimo Q, a TRS- Dual Head XLR, but I also needed a audio interface. I should be getting these things in the mail tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I have been banging my head against a wall for a week. I can’t get more than 2 of the mics to record. They are all paired, but instead of having mic A and C on the left channel and mics B and D on the right channel, like is is supposed to work; what I’m getting is mics A and C both on left and right. I’m using a high/ mid end laptop using Audacity as my recording software. I have tried to use the orange on one end grey on the other jack and the USB input, neither are allowing me to use all 4 mics. Is the problem the recording software? I am considering picking up Adobe Audition, but I don’t know if that will fix the problem. The Vimo Q is definitely not ready right out of the box, and I have already discovered several things that need to be done to make it work, that are no where to be found in its instructions or online as far as I can tell. An example of this is all 4 of the mics must be turned on or it won’t show up as selectable in Audacity. Can you give me some advice on how to get these things working. Is this a settings problem, a software problem, or do you think I got a defective set and I need to send it back? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give. Have a great day.
Hi, In Mode mode, when used with a mobile phone or computer, connect it through the 3.5mm TRS-TRRS audio cable and related OTG audio cable/adapter; In Quad mode, You need to connect the receiver and recorder/mixer through a 3.5mm TRS-TRS/3.5mm TRS-XLR dual heads audio cable to output four individual analog audios of A/B/C/D channels. Four-channel split-track output cannot be directly used for output from computers, mobile phones, cameras, etc. A four-track recorder is required. Please check the manual for detailed operations.
Yeah, I’m gonna be honest we didn’t record that correctly going into the camera. It was way too hot and the Recording quality isn’t great on these combos I think that these are good for social media and RUclips but definitely not for professional use.

I am a fan of your channel but listening especially to 1:33, and watching this RUclips a few times.... I am not convinced. Sorry man.
audio peaking at 1:33 but just needs to lower gain and bingo...

Love mine!!
Wow is it better than the rode wireless go 2 micro phones ? That’s what I have for now and is it worth upgrading. Oh also great video
They’re not bad but I think the ride might be better. The best thing is using 3 mics
My first set of Lav mics were Comica so i trust them but does it separate the audio going into the recorder? When in Quad mode

@@Alexzarfatifilms nice, at that price is nice to have in the kit😎
The new version of VimoQ adds quad mode, which can output four independent audio tracks.
How does it output 4 separate channels, the most that is possible is 2 and 2?..
@@Sosha666 Hi, you need 2 x 3.5mm TRS to double ended XLR cables.
Can you do a test for livestreaming?
How do you get the quad-channel mode? I only have mono/stereo and in stereo it sub-mixes channels A/B and C/D onto L/R and not all four separately.
Same problem here. Did you ever figure out to get the other 2 mics to work?
@@ChrisMoneymakerDHRG no, wound up returning the mics. Was really bummed it is an amazing lav kit, just needs the quad feature
@@Scorge120 that's disappointing.
@@ChrisMoneymakerDHRG quad don't work with usb c, also you need a particular cable to output 4 channels, not included

Think 2

Can it connect to android
Sounded terrible and clipped tbh

My comica mic broke within a month. Joke of a product.
