Omg I love jackfruit! Especially when its crunchy (some people say I'm weird for liking it when its crunchy but watevs lol) my only problem with it is that once you open it attracts little flies and stuff so make sure you wrap it up well with saran wrap and store it in the fridge. Also you know its ready to eat when it gets kinda squishy, like an avocado but don't leave it too long obviously! :)

if you cut it soon, oil your hands. the latex inside is super sticky! unless you wait for it to ripen more, the latex dries up a bit and isn't so messy. I learned the hard way, lol.

I'm in high school and I go to a sleep away camp but this is my first year going as a vegan. All the meals are made by the kitchen staff and we are given limited resources to make our own stuff. If you or anyone had any tips that you could think of so I don't have to worry to much about vegan options throughout the week that would be great!! Thanks :)))
