Just watched the Angelina (who I subbed for) reaction and now I get this one!! I found this about a year ago and view it at least once a week. MASTERPIECE. Whoever arranged this is a genius. I get chills every time the woman with the mic appears and you really get the full force of the chorus. I got the single in 1967 and played it hundreds of times as a teenager and this is one of the best videos on YT. Gary Brooker's voice is even better 40 years later and he is still with us. I've seen videos of him as late as 2015 singing this. Your wife has excellent taste. Maybe she could appear with you on the next Angelina video, would love to get her take. Have a great day, Reckyj
Excellent performance. He's just as good as I remember him from my youth. He has aged much better than me and I'm 4 years his junior. They had been scheduled to tour prior to the pandemic and yes Gary Brooker is still singing.

The bad news is ... first, I tear up every time I hear this song and ... unfortunately, Gary Brooker died this year (Feb 19, 2022), from cancer. He was at his home in Surrey when he died. Fortunately for us, he left a few beautiful moments on film for us to remember him by.

I turned ten that year so I guess I must have had quite an advanced taste in music for my age. For I really loved this song from the first time I heard it. And I still do!
