    That was a great watch and so well filmed! Brought back memories of doing the Badger Divide earlier this summer and one of my favourite sections! Subscribed! 🙂

    Calling that route "dull" is a bit harsh, Alan! 🤣I love and out and back because seeing the same terrain from the other direction is like a whole new road. I rode the same route in horrendous weather in 2012, albeit we didn't make it to the station but sheltered at the foot of Loch Ossian. The tailwind on the way back made for a faster climb back up from the loch than the toil of a descent had been. I'm not sure if I've ever ridden such smooth gravel.

    • @TwistyTrails
      @TwistyTrails  2 месяца назад +1

      Ha ha, by "dull" I meant the there and back nature of the route, but I agree you do see the whole trail from a different viewpoint when travelling in the opposite direction. That's definitely a bonus on this particular route! Yep, it's racing-fast gravel.

    I rode Corrour to Laggan in July, started in Killin.
    After dinner & beers at Corrour I had the pleasure of a brisk tailwind all the way to Laggan, camped on the beach with zero midges.
    Got to be up there with the best gravel section in the entire UK.

    • @TwistyTrails
      @TwistyTrails  3 месяца назад +1

      @@br5380 Definitely sublime gravel, that’s for sure! I wasn’t so fortunate with the midges - whenever I stopped to set up the camera/drone I was plagued with the blighters. 👍

    Did this as part of a ride from Fort Bill to Corrour earlier this year (April), where we overnighted before heading out to Rannoch and onto Pitlochry. From Lagan we were into quite a brutal headwind all the way down to Loch Ossian, even having to pedal downhill into Strath Ossian! The bonus was the food at the station cafe. Thanks for sharing.
