Very nice restoration. The only sad part is who will actually use this in the 2020's? No one uses cassettes anymore and definitely not 8-Track. In my younger years back in the 70's and 80's, I was never impressed with the cassette. But that is all we had back then for portability. It was sad to see how many different manufactured pre-recorded audio cassettes were recorded out of alignment. I found myself using a tiny screwdriver to always aligning the playback head for the best sound quality possible for each tape I played. I actually drilled a tiny hole in the front door big enough for my tiny screwdriver to fit through for playback adjustment on units that did not have this access. Mind you, I was 10 or 11 years old when I started doing this to my Cassette deck electronics. I became an audiophile really early in life. In today's age, I will not use consumer rated audio equipment. Only professional gear for me. And that is why my hearing has started to fade in my 40's. :)
Someone still using using that one including me. Some parts and functionality like radio is the only part that we can obtain information that we dont need to pay extra charges like internet. And you know some hitech countries like Japan some people out there still using the outdated vinyl player and even has a brandnew display in some of the stores there. They even have a CD tapes.
I use cassette tapes and old computers in my every day life because it’s just a nice aesthetic and it’s better to keep the older stuff alive and working than to just leave in a ditch to rot away and never be seen again.
@@jeffreyalbarandorivera8595 Now you see, I agree vinyl is still a great format, and I love it that my 20 year old daughter is getting into it. Vinyl is by far the best at reproducing analog sound. Digital audio will NEVER compare to that sound quality. My beef is with audio recorded on magnetic tape!

Wow what a precise restoration! looks like it just came out of the box! Tape player two had lot's of Wow and Flutter! Maybe still some belt residue left on the flywheel! I'm sure you went back and corrected that I would have!
Definitely a lot of Wow and Flutter on deck 2. Definitely in need of a head alignment on that deck if not both decks.

Плёнки разные бывают. Это у нас, китайская, сегодня приклеил, а завтра пузырями пошла. А послезавтра уже валяется рядом с коробкой.
Штука явно заводская. И похоже чисто японская, гугл не находит такой модели.

Nice restoration. If they had made it from plywood instead of particle board to begin with, it would likely still be in good condition today. Whoever had it, despite the box being cracked and falling apart must have had it stored in a cool, dry place. The Speakers almost looked perfect. I've got some cabinet speakers from the mid '80's and the rubber around the outside edge has crumbled with age. Not nearly as easy these days to go out and pick up replacement 12" speakers.

5:50 самый неудачный механизм. автостоп не работал должным образом. средняя белая шестеренка вечно у всех разваливалась - изнашивались маленькие зубья в центре.
более удачным был похожий механизм, где привод натяжителя ленты был через большую шестерню, с приводом от маховика. там за всю историю один раз шестерня развалилась.

You put maxell UDII type 2 (chrome tape) and record on it by normal type only deck(this KARAOKE deck) , so hear no treble.
