I watched this to make up my mind if I should buy one. I won't . But omg AWESOME REVIEW MAN ! Liked and subscribed INSTANTLY. Keep it up ! Hard to find quality reviews like this. Thanks alot ! So much apreciated !
Excellent review. Just to be clear. The 410 doesn't have any navigation functions. I suffered a dead battery after slightly less than 2 years very heavy (daily, 2 hrs, winter and summer) use. I managed to replace the battery too, but there is no information on how to do this from the manufacturer, let alone a service or such like. But the 410 is also very solid, and when the batteries are new, they do indeed last for ever without recharging. Almost all the slightly annoying things you mention for the 330 in terms of operation apply to the 410 too. Your points about the 330 navigation are really useful. Clearly, a higher level navigation (which Bryton now offer on their newest model, the 450) is essential if you really want to use it. Otherwise, I had exactly the same messy experience with the Bryton app, until about 6 months ago, when the latest updates, perhaps firmware too, suddenly made everything seemless. It works perfectly nowadays. I got a response from the service email too, here in Germany. Took a while, but they answered. In general, they're solid units with full compatibility with external devices, including power meters, for a fraction of the price of the "premium" makes. Thanks again!
Thank you for your reply! The 410 indeed doesn't have navigation. It shows that it doesn't in the comparison charts, but I guess I messed up somewhere. Glad to hear they sorted out their app and made improvements with their support.
The bryton website is not the only way to create routes, you can use whatever application, and there are even other sites (like route-you) that can created routes for the bryton. I never use the bryton website, except once, for linking my strava account.
It's true that you can create routes with other services like Strava, but the point is that don't have turn-by-turn navigation that way. The only way to create a route with turn-by-turn navigation is to use their Bryton Active website.
The computer itself is decent but the app and support is ridiculous. The app is currently rated 2.4 stars... It has constent issues syncing and loading data to strava. It is unusable. Bryton is on the way out.
Have your 330, ever turned off by itself during a ride? Have you ever had a problem with the update tool being stuck on the first step? These are my problems. Also my Bryton, shows full battery while it's connected to my laptop, but once I disconnect it. It doesn't turn on. What was your solution?
During a ride it was probably the most reliable in terms of not shutting down, especially compared to for example Garmin. I don't remember it shutting down. The pc update tool had some issues, updating through the app (when you are able to connect) had no issues for me. Regarding not turning on when disconnected from the pc, I didn't have/recognize that issue.
Thanks for pointing that out, you are correct. I would expect better accuracy though, for example riding a course and ending on the same altitude as you started with. Garmin drifts here in my experience about 5m, while the Bryton 330 was about 12m on average and peaking to almost 25m.
I've had a 310 for about 2 years and have been pretty happy with it. I don't have anything to compare it to though. As far as the upload stuff I've found it quirky at times but found that if I turn off all other bluetooth devices such as headphones, i don't have any problems. I do think it's the best value in cycling computers today despite the couple of small issues it has
There's no integration with Trailforks. When you want to ride a route/track, you'll have to download it on your pc, connect the Bryton Rider 330 and manually transfer the GPX (no turn-by-turn).

What computer did you end up going with?

Today he's work? My rider 330 don't load plan trips from bryton cloud (created and upload with bryton active app).
thank you for this very good review and explanations, it really helps me deciding which bryton I would go buy
Glad to hear that the review was helpful to you :D
Can you not use ride with gps to make routes ?
great but directions with bryton app only? wtf??

The 330 has a barometric altimeter according to their spec sheet

Hi. Do I need a smart speed sensor for it to show my cycling speed ?
Only ANT+ is supported, so any ANT+ compatible speed sensor should work. Bluetooth sensors don't work with the Rider 330.
@@MTBguide thanks. But I think I'm going to buy the SIGMA Rox 11.0 gps set.
How integration with Trailforks looks like ?
There's no integration with Trailforks. When you want to ride a route/track, you'll have to download it on your pc, connect the Bryton Rider 330 and manually transfer the GPX (no turn-by-turn).
raider 330 deutsch
do you know how to make it so when you coast it doesnt lower your average power and cadence? most computers have a setting for this.
The Rider 330 does't have such a Non-Zero Averaging setting like for example some Garmins have.
MTB.guide right on, thanks
Easy solution, don't stop pedaling (;
