This whole episode being about making your parent pround and the felling of not being enough is extremely relatable for a lot of people including myself. Joke and Zo's problem was the same. Both of their parents had high expectations of their kids...and that made Joke and Zo wonder if their parents were ever proud of them. The conversation between Joke-Dad and Zo-Mom was very much needed to draw their family closer. This just shows that how much communication is important while bonding with our family. Joke surprised Zo by coming to his home and now Zo returned the favor. I CAN'T WITH THESE TWO ANGELS - Joong's acting was phenomenal during that hug. In an interview, he said how much he missed his dead father and that he wished to see his father being proud. So, when he got emotional with tears, I guess it was Joong not Joke. I am truly impressed how Zo's character had developed so much. He was once a boy - shy, nervous, keeping things to himself, overthinking, not having guts to pursue the one he likes and clumsy. Now, he straightaway expressed what Joke actually needs to Joke's dad on their first meeting.
I now get that episode so long ago when Grandma pretended not to like Zo to test his courage, and then when she accepted him, she told him he had to be at least that brave, and that willing to fight for Joke, to have won her approval. I think this was why. She knew Joke would need a brave fighter, willing to say the things Joke was too scared to say, so that her family could finally gain peace. I love how Zo and Joke both take turns being each others strength.

Muslim and Buddhist? Yeah right. It’s the big M a family pride that he lets dictate his life. And he’s a horrible actor. Robot Man.
He must have been educated in the conservative West, guessing US or Canada. Just a big fence around his brain, his emotional ranges as an actor….or really, perhaps no talent but “looks good on tv, so we will make him be what that will sell the easiest.” Any way is a travesty. I am so impressed with these series. From the way it flows so smoothly for the viewer even during heavy moments to every character's relationship to everyone else and how significant it is. Even secondary characters like Joke's mom are so well portrayed even in scenes they're not the center. The relationship dynamic of the main characters in captivating and healthy. The show touched on topics related to school and parents which moved me so deeply, because so many people go through similar situations. A true masterpiece
I cried watching joong crying Like if we know his lifestory we could relate to it Joong really is doing a great job We all will really support both joong and dunk till the end❤❤
It was realistic because his father is no more and the emotions he portrayed are rare emotions of what he would probably want to hear from him one more time
It was realistic because his father is no more and the emotions he portrayed are rare emotions of what he would probably want to hear from him one more time
I love this idea, that one conversation can change lives, change the trajectory of a family, change forever how a whole house can feel. It's so hard to have courage in these situations, especially when we feel we've been badly treated or we've made a big mistake. But one conversation, one moment of honesty can be all it takes to fix everything. Also the idea that standing up for the person you love in their home, being honest about how you see them and who you believe them to be can totally change their family's concept of who they are.
i just love that they know each other soooo well, they know when they will need each other the most and that what made me loveee their relationship. i love you so much my babiessss
Very well said Zo. "Time is fleeting" we can never bring back time, all we can do is to live in the moment and make the best out of it. Just like Taylor Swift also said "Live with Cringe", because we live with it, and not to regret it.
I just know those tears in Joong eyes are real from his emotion. He probably thought if his dad during this scene, the tears were held in for a while, we can see the shine from it. 🥺🥺😭
I missed my mother 😭 and the days that we with her, eating meals, bonding in family gatherings during holidays, and my last hug with her was... before she is leaving, and went to abroad to work for us 🥺. To my loving and caring mother, I just want you to know that you're the best NANAY ever. ✨ Kimmy lng ang drama naman.... Love u po ✨💐

What an incredible series, I have mixed feelings, very happy and proud of the evolution we saw throughout the story, the way each situation was portrayed, simply perfect, and sad for it being the last episode, I will really miss this moment in our lives. my Sundays. I just wanted to leave my record of how wonderful, perfect and flawless JoongDunk was, much success to everyone involved, always be healthy and happy ❤🇧🇷👑
Ok, but, seriously ... the father never thought that his son would feel like he's not enough after being told that he is a drifter, up to no good, etc.? After hearing the way he spoke about Joke to Zo, I'm surprised Joke set foot inside that house after moving out for university. Words are important. The way you phrase things carries so much weight! I'm at a loss for words that there are still people out there who don't understand that 🤷♀
Thank you!! If Joke was in fact up to no good at some point in life, his father didn’t stop to think that it’s because of HIM?! You never cared about your child, never poured love into him and you have the nerve to be bothered? He has never felt he was any good; because YOU as his father, a man who is supposed to be his hero…. has constantly said he’s no good. He probably started to internalize all the things you have said about him! Some parents really piss me TF off!
1:14 Grandma for the win! 3:27 No wonder the child never goes home. Although they're talking and even complimenting him, the table still feels so cold. 6:48 Man needs to have some faith in his son.🤦♀️ 7:54 Incoming proud grandma. 10:07 This made me realize that I need a grandmother. 12:47 Best son-in-law award goes to Zo.
Lloreee
I CRIED AT THE DINNER TABKE SCENE SO BAD 😭 I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE I’M NEVER GOOD ENOUGH AND EVER SINCE I WAS 7 I’VE BEEN TRYBA MAKE MY PARENTS PROUD SO IK HOW THEY FEEL AND FELT SO BAD FOR TYEM BOTH 😭😭
You meet your son's friend for the first time, and the first thing you ask him is: "How much of a trouble maker is my son? He doesn't take anything seriously does he? He's messing up right?" and then you have the AUDACITY to be surprised that your son thinks you don't love him, care about him, or are proud of him. Like... HUH???? How did you think he would take that? As a compliment?
So I didn’t expect to cry… Grandma had me smiling because she was smiling while Zo was defending Joke to his dad. She looked so proud compared to the other adults. But those waterworks just came when Joke’s dad finally got it.
The scene with Joke and his father was really impactful. Joong was skillful in his portrayal of those emotions, uncertainty and apprehension that he might actually be a disappointment to his father. That said, I'm glad Joke had a warm bond with his grandma. At the very least she was always gonna be home for him even if he didn't work it out with his parents. I do think the overall storyline for this series could have been stronger. I got bored a lot and had to take long breaks from watching it. I kept coming back only because I'm a sucker for the whole secret unrequited feelings that started the story. But, this is still a really cute and enjoyable watch. Plus, I might have a crush on Joke.
Finally, Zo's been taking more steps for Joke too. I'm happy that he now knows what to value and who to value most. I just want us all to be reminded too, that parents are also first time being a parent. We all are living our first life so we're most likely to lack something that we'll later on learn or taught to ourselves every time. Life is all about learning new things on how to live this life, and I hope we are all living and learning at the same time because every lesson is what will make this life more best living.
I feel like the way joke's father talked was like very familiar, not the exact words but the feeling when your parents make fun of you as a joke and its like joke's father literally took joke as a joke. I really like how zo responded. Joong's acting was soo good!! The way his eyes were teary and he replied in low voice or small sentences cuz obv you dont wanna breakdown infront your family. I reallly like them togetherr ❤️
Anyone who's a middle child here?🖐️ I can relate to Joke's situation. I feel like my parents don't even care what's going on in my life. I did everything just to make them notice me and of course to make them proud. This is the struggles of the middle child. We keep on keeping it in ourselves until we are used to our situation 😢
I can also relate but I am not the middle child, I'm the first child 😢 The expectation of being the first born made me so pressured that I need to be like this and that but it's so hard, like some asian countries like here in ph, when you are born, you need to do something to make your parents proud and that is so hard to do because some parents are not that very appreciative, maybe because some parents were also grew up being not so expressive towards other people, I understand it, it's just that it's difficult to be born in this world full of competition, sad but it's the reality. 😢 We just have to stand up, believe in ourselves and move on, do our part to make our parents and family proud.❤ fighting!!!
I’m the middle child of three kids but my parents have always cared about what’s going on in the lives of all three of us. I entered the university at 15 years old, became an Attorney, got my Masters in International Law. My parents have always been very proud and their friends would even say to me “you’re the pride of your parents”. They talk to everyone about our achievements. I relate to Joke on parts of his character but not on this one. I wish everyone had parents who took interest in them and was proud of them
@@cassiedee7893 I don’t know why people have children just to not pour all their love into them. Hopefully, they realize how it’s affecting you and do better. If they don’t, give yourself those pats on your own back. Also, make sure you don’t repeat their mistakes with your own children (if you want kids). I’m sure you’re an amazing person ❤️
I'm proud of Zo for finally stepping up, stepping out of his comfort zone, and, as he acknowledged, being there for Joke the way that Joke has always been for him. Love to see growth, even if it took a while. That father-son scene must have been so hard for Joong to film but he aced it. Just today I came across the interview he did where he spoke about his dad and Dunk held his hand to support and console him. It made this scene even tougher to watch but I'm so proud of him. He's really developed into such a great actor.
THAT'S WHY IF U EVER THINK UR PARENTS AREN'T PROUD OF U, THEY AREEEEE DON'T OVERTHINK THINGS, THEY ARE PROUD OF YOU THEY JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS IT JUST LIKE HOW WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS OUR LOVE TO THEM OR LIKE WE ARE SHY TO SAY THE WORD I LOVE YOU TO THEM
Zo, your words touched my heart 😭😭, finally a hug that strengthens the bond between father and son 😭😭, Joke and Zo are one now, their love and energy will make their relationship last. 😍😍😍
I think the feeling that joke & zo have about their family is kind of universal. Not much appreciation from parents but we all know that they love us . But main thing is that we also want to have hugs form parents we also want to have lovely conversations at least not like in movies but certainly in similar ways because love is such a thing that needs to be felt and shown up.❤

😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😮 Joke taught that he is the only one who can make Zo's mother said the words i am proud of you to him and for him too not to returned the favour he once did for him too to talk to his father and his entire family members just like the way he did for Zo and😮😮😮 finally Zo has secured a perfect place in Joke's family as a perfect friend and boyfriend and future son in law as well to both Joke and his family members right guys ❤️💯😁👍✅.

I cried watching joong crying
Like if we know his lifestory we could relate to it
Joong really is doing a great job
We all will really support both joong and dunk till the end❤❤
It was realistic because his father is no more and the emotions he portrayed are rare emotions of what he would probably want to hear from him one more time

@@PrincessCeeC yeahh that's true
I like grandma is smiling while Zoo is talking. Proud Lola 😂
Look at Joke and his dad giving out hugs like the ppl in the street holding up Free Hugs signs ❤❤❤
Joke is a huge protector of Zo, but inside he's so gentle... i'm so glad his feelings finally got recognized ♥
i just love that they know each other soooo well, they know when they will need each other the most and that what made me loveee their relationship. i love you so much my babiessss
Zo did well speaking for Joke to his father and I'm very glad that Joke reunited with him 😊
Very well said Zo. "Time is fleeting" we can never bring back time, all we can do is to live in the moment and make the best out of it. Just like Taylor Swift also said "Live with Cringe", because we live with it, and not to regret it.
Joong’s acting is superb!!! HE'S SO GOODDD
" As a middle child, you've always been my wild card"
I just know those tears in Joong eyes are real from his emotion. He probably thought if his dad during this scene, the tears were held in for a while, we can see the shine from it. 🥺🥺😭
wow, joong's performance in this episode has been especially wonderful. he absolutely killed it!! 🙌
7:53 Granny grinning like, "Ah. I picked a good one with this Zo."
Mannnnnn! I cry my heart out with Joke’s family part! That hug for Joong I felt it! Can I hug you Joong? 🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂! It’s beautiful that they could pull it off!❤❤❤
JoongDunk's chemistry is amazing 😍❤
What an incredible series, I have mixed feelings, very happy and proud of the evolution we saw throughout the story, the way each situation was portrayed, simply perfect, and sad for it being the last episode, I will really miss this moment in our lives. my Sundays. I just wanted to leave my record of how wonderful, perfect and flawless JoongDunk was, much success to everyone involved, always be healthy and happy
❤🇧🇷👑
Joke's dad did not need to be saying all that infront of a guest. Did he read 101 ways to embarass ur child or what
Ok, but, seriously ... the father never thought that his son would feel like he's not enough after being told that he is a drifter, up to no good, etc.? After hearing the way he spoke about Joke to Zo, I'm surprised Joke set foot inside that house after moving out for university. Words are important. The way you phrase things carries so much weight! I'm at a loss for words that there are still people out there who don't understand that 🤷♀
Well said! 👏
6:48 Man needs to have some faith in his son.🤦♀️
7:54 Incoming proud grandma.
10:07 This made me realize that I need a grandmother.
12:47 Best son-in-law award goes to Zo.
Lloreee
HERMOSO MOMENTO ,ME ALEGRO QUE SE HAYA RESUELTO TODO CON LOS PADRES DE CADA UNO
I CRIED AT THE DINNER TABKE SCENE SO BAD 😭 I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE I’M NEVER GOOD ENOUGH AND EVER SINCE I WAS 7 I’VE BEEN TRYBA MAKE MY PARENTS PROUD SO IK HOW THEY FEEL AND FELT SO BAD FOR TYEM BOTH 😭😭
Just know you are ENOUGH AND IM PROUD OF YOU 🥺💕 YOU MATTER AND WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED DOES TOO 🥳
Love ❤ the way Zo stuck up for Joke with his father. Like Joke did with Zo's mother 😊😊 it had to be done ✔️
Joong just looks like a really good hugger ❤😭
So I didn’t expect to cry… Grandma had me smiling because she was smiling while Zo was defending Joke to his dad. She looked so proud compared to the other adults. But those waterworks just came when Joke’s dad finally got it.

I can't express how much handsome dunk is😮 , bro is literally THE EPITOME OF BEAUTY 😍❤

Yes🌠♥️💖
Finally, Zo's been taking more steps for Joke too. I'm happy that he now knows what to value and who to value most. I just want us all to be reminded too, that parents are also first time being a parent. We all are living our first life so we're most likely to lack something that we'll later on learn or taught to ourselves every time. Life is all about learning new things on how to live this life, and I hope we are all living and learning at the same time because every lesson is what will make this life more best living.
I swear this is the most wholesome couple I've ever seen on a bl series
Yes, I participate in this conversation♥️💖
I feel like the way joke's father talked was like very familiar, not the exact words but the feeling when your parents make fun of you as a joke and its like joke's father literally took joke as a joke. I really like how zo responded.
Joong's acting was soo good!! The way his eyes were teary and he replied in low voice or small sentences cuz obv you dont wanna breakdown infront your family. I reallly like them togetherr ❤️
Anyone who's a middle child here?🖐️
I can relate to Joke's situation.
@@mayjungkook03 sending warm hugs 🤗 Fighting!
I wish everyone had parents who took interest in them and was proud of them
@@alexanderberyl402 how I wish I have a parents like yours 🥲
The way Zo defended his boyfriend and left his dad speechless 🙊 The nerves to call on Joke's dad like that! 👍 I love him for that! 😊
THAT'S WHY IF U EVER THINK UR PARENTS AREN'T PROUD OF U, THEY AREEEEE DON'T OVERTHINK THINGS, THEY ARE PROUD OF YOU THEY JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS IT JUST LIKE HOW WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS OUR LOVE TO THEM OR LIKE WE ARE SHY TO SAY THE WORD I LOVE YOU TO THEM
They both were going through the same issues and hence they were able to understand each other really well and comfort each other when they needed🤍🤍
Zo, your words touched my heart 😭😭, finally a hug that strengthens the bond between father and son 😭😭, Joke and Zo are one now, their love and energy will make their relationship last. 😍😍😍
This series will be treasured and remembered
I think the feeling that joke & zo have about their family is kind of universal. Not much appreciation from parents but we all know that they love us . But main thing is that we also want to have hugs form parents we also want to have lovely conversations at least not like in movies but certainly in similar ways because love is such a thing that needs to be felt and shown up.❤
❤🇧🇷
This series shows that conversation is the key in every relationship..
Not only between love but also in family too
I literally crying the fact i also can relate to this scene we're all going through the same thing right just to make our parents proud. For once in life i wanna hear from my parents said they proud of me 😢
As much as I do😢
I never knew this series would make me cry. The amount of validation and acknowledgement some of us need from our parents was shown in the last episode 😢 What a series ender. ❤
you know why i love this series way too much?
cause it felt very relatable with our real life situation. i've been on Joke and Zo's side in my lifetim being.
but gladly they can coming over the issue here, thanks GMM.
anyway both of their acting here was sooo so good, Joong developnent of act was *chef kiss ❤
JOONG Y DUN REALMENTE SON TAN BUENOS ACTORES, SE MERECEN MÁS MUCHO MÁS ❤
Grandma while Zo sets the record straight with Dad is EVERYTHING. This is the kind of Grandma I want to be.
2 last part.. it's nearly the end I can't believe it 😭 thanks for this incredible series 🙏✨️😭
Joke's dad is so freaking annoying 🤐 thanks to zo for handling the convo so professionally
Yeah zo did great
In the beginning of the story, I love this couple more series to come. I love you hidden agenda
