Great video! I’m in 11th grade and I’m starting to think about what career path I would like. I love math and science and this a perfect well paying engineering career!
It depends university to university... Also depends what your university will call it. However to be specific for the major concepts... Petroleum Geology Petrophysics Reservoir Engineering Drilling Engineering Mud Engineering Well Completion Petroleum Production Engineering HSE Project Management (Engineering Economics) Petrochemical Engineering (Downstream) Thesis
So example Some universities call their Drilling Engineering subject as Drilling Technology and operations Or Drill Tech 1 for drill eng Drill Tech 2 for Mud eng Some calls Mud eng as drilling fluids and cement. Petrophysics can also be called formation evaluation Petrochemical eng as petrochemical and petroleum refinery etc... HSE as HSESS or Safety and Law etc... You get the idea.
@@habeebayomikun9480 how are you doing rn? was you able to find a job? and how much did the employer pay you? i would be very appreciate if you answer my questions. Thank youuu
@@yuenrafael9111 But cars and other vehicles are really a very substantial market for Petroleum, Petroleum engineers really have very tough days in the next decade, you must be a fool to major in Petroleum engineering
high income, true!!!, also high volatility in layoffs, and high risk job. Great reward for those resilience individuals
Yes. Oil and natural gas industry have constant boom/bust cycles.
@@CareerWatch but the world still need petroleum engineer in my view
If l may ask.can you go for petroleum engineering or Aerospace engineering with GED.?
