The deep history that you didn’t even talk about the courthouse you mentioned and the town it’s in is called old New Castle and has an amazing history if you go there you can go on so many tours and learn all about it. There is a day called a day in old New Castle and is set in colonial times, they literally brew beer quand have maypole games and people dressed in colonial clothes. There is so much more than just the courthouse witch used to be the state capital and if you go there you’ll see all the history.
i live in Delaware and im from Delaware 👌👍🤙🤘👑👑👑

Is dumpster diving in delaware legal? Or illegal?
Dover High School. Class of '82. Go Senators!
Delaware use to also be part of Pennsylvania colony until 1709 I believe. Even after that they shared a colonial governor until after the revolutionary war
After the civil war Delaware rejected the 13th amendment and did not ratify it until 1901
First state witch I live there
Delaware song(I'm out Delaware) type it in
Kansas: I want a place that has Very Boring Movies!
Delaware: Allow me to introduce myself,
Hi I’m in Deleware
Okay so I'm not from the US and often get a little confused when it comes to US history! To be fair most countries are older than mine and have so much rich history.
Can someone explain, did the Swedish get run out of their settlement at Delaware? By the original colonists from Britain?
But the Dutch where all killed by Native American Indians?
And this all went down before the war for Independence?
Also, where can I find more YT videos with more call stuff about each state? E.g. more history, what they are known for, street art, events
From what I've read, New Sweden dissolved following the Second Northern War, becoming a part of the Dutch Republic in America. The Swedes were therefore no longer involved in North America as of 1655, and, about 10 years later, the Dutch would surrender their NA-holdings to the English.
So yes, both the Dutch and Swedish were not in North America for quite a while before the American Revolution, but their culture remains pretty prevalent even today.
As for more American-state content, obviously I'd recommend you check out the rest of my stuff (especially my newer, better stuff), but I'd also say go check out Mr. Beat, who makes some great state comparison videos if you're into that sort of thing. Thanks for the comment!
@@435American thank you for your reply. I'll dig deeper into your stuff and check out Mr. Beat too. 👍
In Pennsylvania there are still some original cabins from the settlers of New Sweden
“He was number one!” My Delaware portrayal in my United States Portrayed by Spongebob video.
I live in Delaware but originally from Oregon
What if Wyoming and Montana became territories like Canada's territories. I'm not saying they should I'm just asking.
I suppose all that would change would be the governing bodies present in the states. The local and state governments would lose most of their power and the federal government would have much more power than it currently does in the states. That's an interesting scenario that I've never thought of before, I wish I knew more about the details of territorial government to be able to answer the question more thoroughly. Thanks for the comment!
Morrethy Thank you for the reply. I've always wondered what would happen if we had territories like Australia and Canada.
I think you're forgetting Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Samoa (the one that belongs to the States), and Northern Mariana Islands. I'm pretty sure their situations would be very similar as to any hypothetical continental territories.
Ill migrating to newark delaware, is this place nice?
It's nice. I live in Newark south of the College
