The singer Tils is a fully trained and qualified Pyrotechnician. The keyboardist Flake (pronounced Flak-ah) suffers with on stage nerves and would always walk around on the stage to the point he was putting his life at risk by walking towards and onto the pyros. So they decided to use a treadmill so he can stay in one place and still move.
Oh, and if you know a little bit of history from Europe, you know how amazing it is that Rammstein has French, English and Russian audiences singing in German.
Till, and the rest are amazing. That special headbanging while whacking his knee he does is from a time where he dislocated his kneecap on stage and banged it back in place. The rest of the band and the producer thought it looked cool, so he still does it- though without the dislocated kneecap, cause that is fairly painful. There is so much depth to this band, everything- every little detail- on stage is closely controlled to hit all the audience's senses. They are so very German; hard work and attention to detail and perfectionism. You need to dive deeper into their musical universe. They are best live- except "Deutschland", where the video production is better than many Hollywood films. But for most songs, you want to read the translated lyrics and backstory first, much of it is really dark, and much of it has layers.
Till's deep voice is probably enabled by his prior life as an Olympic swimmer. He can deep dive too. He actually has serious stage fright so he goes into characters, interacts on stage often with the keyboardist and doesn't make eye contact with the audience. The entire band are really nice dudes. Very left-wing from growing up in Soviet occupied East Germany. 🇩🇪

@@peekaboosue Sorry, you got your stories confused. Fritzl case happened in Austria, but Armin Meiwes case happened in Rotenburg an der Fulda in Hessia, Germany (approx. the middle of Germany). He was born in Essen, West Germany.

It's not blood they all got a fire retardant on because they use fire and pyrotechnics!! Till Lindemann the lead singer, he is a pyrotechnics specialist as some of the others! That's fire retardant on him

Rammstein is not a metal band, they used to call themselves a dance metal, but quickly dropped this term. They all come from punk rock. Now they call themselves part of the "New German Hardness" (NDH). In some lists of German metal bands they are not listed. Also the band has no frontman, all revenues of the band are divided by 6.
