Some vehicles require you to take off the parking brake too… like my 2011 Toyota Corolla manual transmission that I recently lost to an EF4 tornado. :(
Good video. I had an issue on a 06 pt cruiser. Where one light was out. Checked the bulb with the other side and it was ok. Checked voltage and ground at the socket and it was ok. However, it turned out that when I load tested the ground it would be an open circuit. With no load, I had a good ground - weird. Ended up just putting a new ground directly to the body instead of all the way back to the ecm and now the headlight works. Apparently it’s a common problem on those year pt cruisers and the dealer tells you to buy a new computer - ouch!
I have a 09 Silverado and reasonably I installed some new headlights and the left side turns on but the right now power all the way to the back right till light when off to even the light the lights up the license plate the right side just all off
I think maybe if you guys ever do just a video on just headlight bulbs. To mention to people(could've done on this video) you don't touch the bulbs, because you don't want your body/finger oils on the bulb. Because it will create a hot spot on the bulb for premature failure. Or even if you have gloves on like you had that may have grease and such on them. Good video. Thx.
Wish if my situation was easier. My XT6 2020 passenger side headlight and turn signal are not working. The fuse is working fine but the yellow wire that goes to the light has no power. I pulled hot line from the battery directly to the yellow and the light with the signal worked fine. My situation here is more complicated because I will need to trace the wire continuity and detect the issue. I'm talking about many parts removal in order to track one wire. GM need to stop their cost saving and getting us low quality parts that can only work under warranty period. I'm an engineer in automotive industry for 12 years and I witnessed all the bad habits from up higher management. Same apply to Ford, Stellantis, and some German companies.
I have almost same problem my running lights work and turn signals work but hi and low beams dont i put new switch and still the same i checked the fuses and relays and they are good any ideas?
Yes. My 2008 Silverado 1500 high beam and low beam suddenly stopped working. Turn signals and running lights work but no high or low beams. Please help?

I've bought some parts from these folks in the past, and great products and service. I would like to know if you have a video on what might cause a bulb to go bad. It has not completely out, only dim. and the bulb is only a month old. It did work fine with I replaced it. Drives side bulb, or should I have replaced both at the same time. TIA
On one side of the headlight, the yellow area of the light doesn't turn on when the headlights are on. The bulbs are good, though, and the blinker works, it just doesnt light up like the right headlamp. Do you think its the wiring? Should i replace it?
I tried the way your video showed, but it didn't. My 2011 silverado LT 1500 headlights low beam on both sides comes on and off on their own. Got any ideas ? I replaced fuses, relays, switches, bulbs, pigtails just to name a few.
Great video and very informative 👍🏻 I have a 07 Ext Escalade and it died on me like it ran out of gas.. it has over 233000 miles so I replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump relay, starter relay and the Ignition switch and the truck still acts as if it's going to die when you stop at a red light or a stop sign.... any ideas 💡 ?
Hi I'm from UK.. I love your videos very helpfull and informative..can you tell me where is the headlights fuse position in fuse box..for a 2013 kia sportage 1.6 I have looked at the fuse box diagram and the owners manual waste of time..all my lights work apart from headlights..all other lights work......
Electrical parts non returnable, ? R+R with known good part sounds ok in theory. But would suck if they didn't come on. After no power to relay, 90% sure it was the switch. Although with GM, wiring is always a posibility
I have almost the same issue but high beams and parking lights work except the low beams i got some troubleshooting to do my dash lights dont blink or dome light

Well this didn't help.I will cut to the chase. Both lights just quit working.Bulbs are both Good. There 14+ volts at the head light connectors when on.But no lights Makes no sense.
after seeing so many videos of ya teaching how to do certain things . i assumed ya used ya own products.. now i feel safe and cofident to buy and give feed back for future unsecure constumers like me
Now what if you turn the switch and only yhe running lights come on. High beams will work but not lowbeams. Bulbs, fuses and relays are all good.
