I would like to thank my phone for the tough film shooting haha Multiple drops on the floor, being thrown into the trash, and the cracked screen due to my clumsiness is a lot to handle... Another great restriction is to get an alarm clock to leave your phone outside your room when sleeping. A video by Niklas Christl showed how well it works (screen time from around 4 Hours to 1.5), and again illustrates the importance of finding the perfect restriction. -> Works for any other bad habit like only eating homemade sweets to perfectly balance eating some desert here and there without overdoing it. Curious to hear your recommendations :) Oh yeah, and here is the link to the morning Routine Video: ruclips.net/video/30w8hx5sekQ/видео.html
Great video! I also went through the phase of thinking about downgrading to a more permanent dumb phone but found that having a sweet spot of just limiting functionality on a modern smart phone to be the best option. I loved all the creative shots in the video as well :)
My best tips: removing all the notifications from social media from my phone and hiding the apps from my Home Screen🤙🏼 for the rest I love the video 😊 a cool thumbnail and so many nice cuts!
1.have the phone only be used in a certain room or have rooms where the phone is never allowed. 2. have the phone set to a alarm every 2 hours and when the timmer goes the phone will be locked for 1 hour and 30 minutes
This may sound weird but moving all my social media and entertainment apps to my ipad so like using instagram or snapchat is super annoying so i just use it to talk when really necessary and the other times i just open some online course instead of streaming services cus thats what i used my ipad originally for
3 months later after having watched this video and I also switched from iPhone to Android. Helped a lot to set up an dumb phone and my concentration and procrastination's decreased while studying at university. Oddly I wasted a lot of my time writing people on whatsapp and checking out stories, so I deleted that too and just use Signal or the default messaging app which is way less distracting
Sounds great! Thank you for coming back to this video and sharing your experience. Always means a lot if my videos (even a tiny tiny bit) positively touched the life of others :)
Awesome video! I use minimalist phone app also, and together with being more mindful about using my phone I managed to lower the screen time to around an hour as well :). Hope to see more cool videos from you in the future, I can tell you put in a lot of work, effort, and passion into them :)!
Amazing that you also are also using It and had a similar positive experience! Also thank you for your continuous supportive comments :) Really means a lot to me
My sweet spot is that I only use social media on my laptop which is not a very good experience in comparison to social media use on mobile phone, and I've reduced my social media use a lot. I only use 2-3 times only to check messages and that's all(less tha
@@LittleSammy91 Yes! For an iPhone I explained how to do it in the video description. For android all you have to do is download an app called minimalist phone (25 per year but a bit more sleek) or Ovolauncher (Free, just put a black background and it's pretty similar).

That does not sound weird at all, but seem like a great restriction. Let me know how it goes in the coming weeks!

How does that work with the code?
It's just an app to lock certain apps. The code only my girlfriend & mom knows
@@JakobManthei what’s the name of that app.
Wich brand of phone is this?
It's a One Plus Nord N200.
Super simple one, but again to serve the purpose of dumbing down my phone.
Can you do this with any phone?

Get a blocker and only use social media for a hour
Fyi the music is a bit too loud relative to your voice. Good luck with the videos
Thanks for the tip! Directly took it into consideration for the next video :)
Android users rise up 💪🏻
How is it that you only have 349 subscribers with this quality of contents? =(
Thanks for the kind words :)
I just have to be patient I guess haha
@@JakobManthei please don't let it discourage you. I appreciate your work
