The saddest part of this scene for me had nothing to do with the love story, but that after all the panic, suffering and grieving. To see all the dead passengers come together, they looked so happy. The little girl waving, Fabrizio's smile. Finally at peace.

She did everything Jack told her to do, every dream she described to him, she did it, everything she planned out with him, she did on her own. Even the small, little things, she; remembered it all. She gave him the 10 cent for his drawing, and went ice fishing. His words, his actions, what he looked like, the same for everything else.
The end really got me, she met him at the clock with everyone around, making the time count just like he told her to do at dinner.
When she reunited with him in heaven, you see all of the big characters that died like Tommy and Mr. Andrews, but the smaller ones too, like the woman who asked where to go with her child. If you payed extra attention, you see that the clock is stopped at 2:20, the exact time the Titanic fully submerged into the North Atlantic. I think the directors decided to do this to show that Jack was waiting for her. But also to show that as soon as the ship sank; it was time to rebuild and regather everything people/loved ones lost. Jack was waiting for her, and he knew that when she came, they could stay and be happy together.
Words cannot explain my love for this movie, definitely my all time favorite!

It’s crazy how it’s an experience almost every kid who saw the movie super young has. I always thought it was just me until I found an entire podcast dedicated to breaking down the film scene by scene and talking about childhood attachments to the movie itself, the actors and the score.
The podcast host described what I felt as a child perfectly. She said she watched it for the first time when she was 6 (so did I) and it became her attachment item. Literally like a stuffed animal or a blanket, she took the VHS with her everywhere. I did the same thing anytime I was sleeping anywhere other than home I had to take it with me. When the movie would end sometimes I’d put the first tape back in rewind it and start the entire movie over because I just couldn’t bare the feeling after it ends. Saying a big part of your empathy and compassion and love for film scores comes from this movie is is a great way to put it. I know it might sound silly to some, and people love to trash talk this film but it truly is a huge part of who I am and the things I love.

    Considerations:
    1) When Rose throws away the jewel, she provides two messages: the first, that the jewel returned to where it belonged; the second, that she would be going with them very shortly.
    2) It is implied that Rose dies in her bed, just as Jack predicted.
    3) In the imaginary Titanic, resembling a "paradise" after the "death" of Rose, all those who died, mixed together, await her, regardless of the class to which they belonged. 4) The builder of the Titanic, whom Rose loved as a father, at the foot of the stairs, just as at weddings the father "delivers" his daughter's hand to her future husband. 5) The clock showing the exact time of the sinking of the Titanic.
    6) Jack in his original torn clothing, symbolizing the humility of his spirit.
    7) The last to applaud was the Captain, as always, the Leader of a crew always at the end.

All my friends (who are all in their thirties) said it was crap, despite being die-hard fans of the first one.
Let’s see how the 3rd one performs, that will be a good test.
Also worth noting that when I saw avatar in 2009, it cost me £7 to buy a ticket in 3D. For avatar 2 in IMAX 3D, it was £27(!!!) so 1x person in 2022 would be the equivalent of 4x people in 2009, for that particular imax format. And we’ve also got massive inflation in the past 3 years.

"You're gonna out of here, and you're gonna go on, and you're gonna make lots of babies, and you're gonna watch them grow, you're gonna die an old old lady warm in her bed." - Jack's last words to Rose.
That dialog is what convinces me this is her dying in her sleep, and her soul is going to the wreck to be reunited with Jack, and not merely a dream sequence, like others have claimed.
This story also illustrates a brilliant point about life, and that is even when you lose something or someone that is truly precious to you, life still goes on, and can still be great, as is evidenced by all the photos on Rose's table of all the things she did after the sinking.
That was the whole point of the story: Life is a gift. How it goes is largely up to you and what you choose to do with it, and not solely based on what happens to you. So make each day count.

And their frigid blind gravesite at the bottom of the Atlantic is just bathed in the brightest and warmest light on the other side.
Just this scene, it's so beautiful and ingenious. It says it all without a line of dialogue. It was most appropriate.

Hows about her husband to be on the titanic that told her he would give her everything if she would just be with him. She basically spat in his face, stole his diamond and killed Jack.

No other ending has such an incredible ability to both warm and break my heart. All those people who died such horrible deaths, but now they're all standing together with no regard for status, and they're all smiling. I only hope the real victims of that terrible night are as at peace as these actors portrayed them.

Imagine the crew of the submarine waking up and realise they're in the promenade having a peaceful sleep in one of those chairs, confused they start walking around, in one of the doors they go through, they discover the grand staircase with everyone waiting in there welcoming them aboard. And now they join those passengers still waiting to reach new york 😢

It's even sadder when you realise that these are all the people who died, you don't see the people that survived, only the good ones who died, you see them all, happy and smilling...... that's what always gets me....

And yet Rose is the only person to pass away since the disaster to be here. This heavily would suggest she is in fact dreaming this. Her final dream.
There is no sign of Ruth, Margaret or Fleet, all of whom passed away since. Why should she be the only one to make it here unless this is her subconscious in her final moments?

In addition to my enormous love for this film, I love the actress Kate Winslet, and the character she plays. This scene means a lot to me, I have enormous admiration because it indicates that Rose resisted even Jack's death, fulfilling her promise until the end, her love for him and especially her own willpower to get where she is is admirable, because I tell myself that I will never give up and I will get where I need to be ❤

Gracias James Cameroon ❤

I love the ending to this movie so much. Beyond just the general ending from a plot perspective, showing the Titanic as it was before sinking, with all the people on it, calls to the overall journey that the viewer has been on, and makes the viewer reflect on that journey and really the overall experience. It is both effective and emotional and provides the viewer with a real payoff to the 3-hour journey and experience of the film.

I watched titanic for the first time 3 days ago and then continued to watch it for the next 3 days. I didn’t realize how beautiful of a movie it was until I saw it and omg it really is beautiful. This ending scene is just perfect, she really made her life count and didn’t let go just as she promised jack. And then met him and all the other passengers at the clock. She accomplished everything she wanted to do and then dies in her warm bed as a old lady and reunites with everyone in heaven. It’s just so emotional :,)
