great thoughts, very interesting process, great video! I really enjoy watching you work and share your thought processes. oh and magic mango land? it is actual heaven. I absolutely understand why you were feeling like drifting away from reality! please keep up making videos ☀️🥭🥭🥭
Adding on those 4ish minutes of reflection. In my experience I felt the exact opposite, there was too much tension, too much pressure. My friends disappeared, got no clients anymore, got a shitty fulltime job, got worse at every sport or game I played and yet tried to push painting almost everyday. Instead of fluf I was greeted with poorly designed elements, lacking brushwork, lacking of consciousness, out of harmony colors, rushed compositions. The way art demands us to be in a sweet spot scares me to not be able to reach it again as I did when younger. Anyways 100% agree, definately wouldn't want to be filled with mangos and a beach all day otherwise not gonna be painting at all! Tysm for all great videos and paintings, your channel is a hidden gem👍
You're asking all the right questions, but at the end of the day, don't overthink things. We can't change the past and have no control over the future. We are only in command of how we feel in the present moment. Begin with gratitude that you have the now.
Older artist.. not advice.. just this: It's YOUR reality, your choice. There isn't but one. That would be so boring for the universe... hence, the reason there are so many of us. Love your sharing and your paint style ❤️!!
Love the chaotic feel of this mixed with good ol' philosophical pondering. It was like being given an opportunity to watch a youtube video of myself in my 20s that I didn't film lol. more please.
My new favorite philosophical artist on youtube!! Are there even any others? This is my first time coming across such a sincere depiction of the artistic process on RUclips. Authentic af.
Forgive my english, i'm trying to break the language barrier just to say that i love your art. I paint my self, mostly with watercolors and sometimes with gouache, and i find your work absolutely inspiring and beautiful. Just wanted to tell you this so in case you have some self doubts in the future you can come back to this comment to remind yourself how beautiful your art really is 😉 Hope to see new videos soon! Big hug from Italy 😄😄
Im trying to make a video about my songwriting and your generation just masters this stuff. I'm older and feel real clumsy about it. YOu guys are so smooth. Great video.
You are awesome! Your painting process is so real! We all go through some of the deep thinking, ups and downs in progress and needing break times. At the end though, we experience some satisfaction, or success, with that process. Thank you for sharing. 😊
So funny I am also into oil painting and bouldering! Where I live, it's the birthplace of bouldering (Fontainebleau) and one of the birthplace of impressionism (School of Barbizon). Yeah outdoor painting feels and seems so relaxing, it's all the opposite, changing lights, sun and glare, insects deciding to taste the stickiness of you paint, that one thing from your studio you never need exept for now. "Oooh I really did go out for an outdoor painting trip and decided that I won't need any blue pigments but I do have 3 different yellow ochres... So that where all my yellow ochres have been"
the physicality of your painting reminds me of lucian freud's garden works or maybe rackstraw downes, both painters worked meticulously from life too. Idk, working in real time with the ever changing branches and light is a challenge to say the least. besides I find the little shifts each day too enticing not to paint, which is hard yakka when you have to bring it all together into a cohesive whole.
In 2019 I had a mango fall from a tree five feet in front of me as I was exploring a neighborhood near the beach in Mexico. I decided to eat it as I walked and it was the most delicious mango I have ever had. Is that why this video was suggested to me? Thanks algorithm!
Can you please explain what kind of canvas you use, and how you prepare it? basically the whole the entire technical process that you do. Love from someone who is afraid to start with water-based oil paint and is overwhelmed with all the different options
Gostei muito da história com a mangueira e gostei do resultado disso que foi a pintura da árvore e seus frutos amei. Espero o próximo vídeo. Quero dizer que eu tenho uma árvore um cacau .
So you created the conflict within yourself because you thought you felt too happy? The Mango painting (second painting) is awesome! But then I love them all.
The State of Oil Painting: The Condensed Version Picasso- painted it's last great masterpiece 'Guernica' Pollack- kicked open it's door Warhol- blew it up
Subscribe so Hannah can be delusional and paint this tree for a year.
Really nice brushwork.

The three small ones at 20:40 are really striking.
Love it!❤
Great video Hannah, so interesting and fun!
Looking forward to the next one to see how your big painting turns out! 🌸🥭🥭🥭
You are amazing Hannah. You and your art have a powerful story to share.
Keep being you and inspiring others.
Best painting channel!
Love when everything falls into place! Life gifts us little treats once in a while and you definitely made the most of it!!
When I paint I have to say to myself, come back to now. Its so easy to be on autopilot. Lighter darker warmer cooler. Remember to step back.

love the work! Hannah
25:22 Can confirm this human likes it.
Comfort and convenience are the enemies of creativity.
That would have been a good alternate title for this!
Amazing, and extremely important reality check for me too. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful paintings btw :-)
Love your paintings. That big one behind you at the end of the video, I look forward to seeing when it's finished.

Thank you for your comment, I love both those artists so that is a huge compliment!
Brilliant art...keep up with all the blessings....😮😮😮😮

The State of Oil Painting: The Condensed Version
Picasso- painted it's last great masterpiece 'Guernica'
Pollack- kicked open it's door
Warhol- blew it up
Maybe what we want has nothing to do with what we need
Missing your fab videos, Hannah! What have you been up to?
You're cool I have to say😉
So so so
Hannah, why are you searching for rules?
Cheesecake always leads to delusion. Painting and cheesecake don't mix. Quote me on that.
Cheerio
Is this your main source of income? How do you sell art?
I only want to know what you eat. Painting? screw that stuff....food food
What beautiful girls, without makeup, natural. Well, just look at the author of the video. Well, how beautiful she is.
