- In this flower tutorial we will be making a bridal bouquets for a wedding in a cottage summer garden theme. I will be teaching you about all the flowers, foliage and materials we used to construct this and how to make it yourself.
We used:
40 stems of white sweet peas
4 stems of thelaspi
8 stems of matthiola daisies
We use the spiral technique to construct the bouquet. Using the one flower, one foliage pattern.
To bind the bouquet we used oasis waterproof floristry tape then wrapped this in white satin ribbon secured with white pearl pins.
You will also need hardy scissors or secateurs and ribbon scissors.
And then just watch and learn. You don't have to use everything I have used, you can use any flowers and foliage you can get hold of and use the same principle as me.

Hiya! Yes. Go ahead xx
@@jemsfloralstudiotheacademy7091 Hi thank you, I’m using hydrangeas as a base as the bride wants blue. I showed the bride the practice I did and she asked for more blue, so I thought using hydrangeas as a base would help with this. What do you think? Other flowers will be roses, spray roses, delphinium, eustoma, stock, gyp and the greenery, oh and I might add nigella. Your thoughts would be really appreciated xx

Thx for creating the "How to start an online florist business from scratch video. (I can't comment on that, I think it's because it is set for " made for children " in its video settings, so I'll ask my question here🙃)
1a.
How big space is needed to start an online floral studio?
1b.
Could you start from a 2.5m x 4m garden office/summer house or is that too small?
2a.
Do you need refrigerating crates to keep flowers fresh?
2b
What are the biggest initial investment(s) needed to start (and approx how much)?
Thx!

You can certainly start in a small summer house and expand when your business grows. Any space you have at home is a blessing to start with as not many people have this advantage.
You don’t need a refrigerator in the uk especially. Any other countries I know a lot of florists do, but not necessary (in my opinion) you can get a portobello air con unit xx
The biggest investment I would say is buying all the equipment you need e.g- scissors, ribbons, bags, boxes, vases, cellophane, a counter or table to work on, social media advertising, website fees. I would say it will cost up to £1000 to do this, but it’s fine as you will make it back in sales. This is where your home space is a massive advantage as you don’t have to think about setting up shop and rent xx
