About a month or so ago, I was facing some severe mental hardships. I have been battling with crippling depression for the past 5 years now, but just recently is when I hit my lowest point. That night, I walked out of my house, telling my family I was simply going for a "walk", not sure myself if I'd ever come back. As I walked, a mere few blocks away, this song came on from my phone. I didn't recognize what it was, so I pulled my phone up and found that, by sheer miracle, my phone unlocked itself by brushing against my leg while in my pocket, and hit the RUclips app, then hit this song in my recommendation feed. I sat down, put my headphones in, and listened to it. The serene, love-filled nature of this song was overwhelming to me at that particular moment; enough to make me walk back home and forget everything that had been happening. Now, whenever I'm having a bad day, I put this song on and drift away.
Blackmill, wherever you are, thank you. Your music may have saved my life.

What I notice when I'm depressed is that I'm thinking.. thinking about how bad I am, guilt from things I'm maybe not guilty of, self doubt, you name it it happens. You must see what I saw in my low times. The 'mind' is thinking, not you!! You are the observer of the mind! See? You're listening to it.. It's the disease of humanity. Learn to separate yourself from this and you'll realise that you are the consciousness in this being choosing to observe the mind...
RUclips a guy called, Mooji, also a man once called 'Barry Long'. They are what made me see and truly helped my depression..

I just want to say that I really love seeing other producers of this "genre" of music all commenting on each other's work with such compassion. Very inspiring. scrolling down for half a page, i've seen CMA, Killigrew< and now you too Electus. I would be surprised if i didn't see Sizzlebird farther down too or something. you all are incredible. Also, i agree with Mr. Grissom, youreincorporation of Watts was definitely brilliant!
When I first heard this song, I didnt know its name. I heard it on a mix. My native language isn't english, so I also didn't really recognized the lyrics.
But as I first heard the melody, I just imagined a child, that is jumping happy on a beautiful spring day. It was such a lovely and peaceful scene. And when I found out that it was actually called "child", I was so happy, because it felt like blackmill was talking through his music directly to my soul. :)
I dont know if you will read this, but I want to thank you for this beautiful imagination I got through your music.

For awhile now I've been longing to grow up and become an adult already. I'm sick of being a kid - I want to have a job, live in my own place, pay my own bills, so that I can make my own decisions and, ultimately, do what I want to do and what I feel I need to do to get the most out of life.
But this song suddenly made me miss being a kid, when I never had to worry about so many fucking things, where the only thing that was ever on my mind were innocent, fun, simple thoughts, feelings and ideas. You are wonderful, Blackmill, in how perfectly you can capture an emotion and turn it into a song.

You'll have plenty of years to live out your life as an adult and enjoy what it had to offer along with the multiple stresses it brings. Enjoy being a kid who still looks forward to summer while you can. Being an adult does not give you as much freedom as your think.
Freedom comes with money, and the only way to make money is by working. So, in essence, you traded school and parents for a job and a jackass boss.
Dude, take your time and enjoy life and what you have, growing up sucks. I often spend a lot of my time thinking of past memories and only wanting to relive them and be young again but sadly that cannot happen. So basically take your time and enjoy every moment, and also don't miss out on any opportunities that you will regret not taking later, trust me, all of it will be totally worth it. :)

This reminds me of a father coming back from a war and visiting his son or daughter for the first time in a year. Your music helps me with writing a lot. I am currently writing my own book. Your songs help me adapt to different situations in my book. Also in real life. A few days ago it rained and I put on Rain. It was the best time. It helps me sleep at night when I can't chill.
